I see very, very rare threads about the NFL here, which seems different from the old IMDb. Is this only because the season hasn't started yet, or is it because NFL fans from the old board did not migrate here? So, to sort this out I'll start a poll. Thanks for participating.

I'm not really active in the sport section on this board but I used to be on the IMDB ones and on the official NFL site back when they had their own boards.

NFL is overrated bordering on unwatchable thanks to the insane amount of penalties. Can't react to the big play because you're waiting for the inevitable flag.

I think it'll pick up when the season starts. At the very least we'll have plenty of "Tom Brady is the biggest fraud in sports history" threads.

Even though all the NFL posters from the old board are not here I think there will be plenty of NFL talk once the season begins. We have talked about pretty much everything worth mentioning this preseason.
It also makes a difference that the Tom Brady threads have slowed down quite a bit.

OK, hopefully there will be enough discussion. If at least some 15 posters say present (we got 8 "yes" answers so far - maybe some 7 more will come on board once the season starts), we should be fine.

How many is "enough"? For me, a non-NFL fan, one thread is more than enough. For you, maybe that's 10. 15. 50!
You can also start discussion-driven threads that are NFL focused if that's what you want to talk about. Unfortunately, due to certain dim-witted assholes here, every discussion inevitably devolves into "Tom Brady is a cheater and fraud."

Things'll pick up once the season starts, for sure.

I'll be here but the NFL is beginning to lose its luster for me. I think I'm cancelling the Sunday Ticket. 1 pm, 8 games, 8 channels on commercial break. Fuck, the NFL should be paying me to be exposed to that much advertising. I know that expecting the NFL to have less commercial breaks is like expecting water to be less wet or expecting Cowherd to talk for there minutes without bringing up LeBron.

OK, still slow but should pick up shortly. I look forward to it. Thanks everybody for the replies.
I am also frustrated with the NFL, too many penalties, too many controversies, too many commercial breaks...
But still, I'm unable to stop loving football so I'll have to soldier through it all.
