And I can't wait for this one either. I've seen it twice in theaters and loved in even more the second time, but it's been a few months now and I'm itching to give it another round already.
I absolutely loved that they went to a character focus and did a brilliant job pairing each member of the team with an outsider, splitting them and playing Drax and Mantis off one another, Peter & Ego, Gamora & Nebula, Rocket & Yondu, and they really explored the deeper aspects of who everybody is. It was great.
On top of that some fun spots, hilarious moments, and it's pretty close to the original, but in an entirely different way. I loved it.

I like having the box, I like having them on the shelf. I totally get the idea and convenience of digital, but for me it takes away something I like about having a collection.

It just depends on what I feel like doing at the time. I bought Civil War both digitally and hard copy because I wanted to rewatch it again when it came out digitally so I bought it. Since I haven't seen GOTG2 or Wonder Woman I plan on buying them digitally so I can watch them sooner than when they come out on DVD. Had I seen either in theaters like I originally planned but never did I'd likely wait for the DVD if I enjoyed the movie that is.

I think you'll enjoy GOTG2, and do just keep in mind that it's more of a character focus and less of a galaxy spanning adventure. They do an excellent job of hitting what they were aiming for in this one by keeping it smaller scale in a lot of ways. It's great.
BTW I'm pretty sure your Michael's picture is of him in the ring laughing at Bret Hart on stage somewhere in 1996 if I'm not mistaken. Is it the interview where Bret first called them degenerates and Michaels said Razor leaving was expansion not defection?

I really enjoyed the first one but I don't think this sequel will live up to the original for me. The more stuff I've seen of it the more it really downed my expectations. Any clip I see of Drax and Mantis really doesn't excite me at all as their "relationship" doesn't seem entertaining to me. I'll have to see the full movie to completely judge it but none of those clips where Drax is just being a douche bag to Mantis makes me care more about that character.

I think it comes out digitally on Tuesday which is when I plan to watch it for the first time. That means I will finally watch it. The only versions I've found online so far were not worth watching. I love stealing from marvel. I liked the first one but all the clips I've seen with turd jokes make me a bit skeptical.

I actually really loved the Drax Mantis thing, and it's a shame that you've already watched those clips. You needed to see them in context, which is why I never watch trailers, because it kills the impact that scene would have had on you. I hope you enjoy it though. For me I would have compared it to choosing between brownies and cheesecake. I mean they're completely different but both fucking delicious even if you prefer one to the other.

there is nothing wrong with buying DVDs, Stanton.
But your analogy is painfully flawed again. Both DVD and BR are digital media. It's not like you would reenact MCU films on a live stage, or at least watch them on analog tape, only then your analogy would make some sense, dude.
And don't you dare to ask now: Seriously, what's wrong with invalid analogies?

The DVD box is digital media? No Stanton, the box (and disc) are usually made from plastics that are typically organic polymers of high molecular mass, but they often contain other substances too. They are usually synthetic, most commonly derived from petrochemicals (oil).
But the DVD, love it or hate it, is digital media - strongly indicated by the fact that the "D" stands for digital. Same with BlueRays. Hence my bold assertion: "Both DVD and BR are digital media" following the Blue Ray comment from the poster above (its easy to miss as the original poster put it in in a font size easy to overlook). Welcome.
