I didn't find out Paxton died until I saw it in the chat of an Oscars livestream I was watching on a site called DoubleToasted. I actually saw one person mention it, and I thought it was a joke. Then I saw a second person say it, and I decided to google it. Real bummer.

La La Land paid tribute to the Hollywood of yesteryear. Even someone like me who doesn't like musicals managed to enjoy La La Land. So sad that the Academy passed up the chance to name it Best Picture.
