Rewatched Wonder Woman yesterday and a part of me is envious that her movie showcased her strength properly, picking up tanks and throwing them around - whereas Thor's strength has never been properly displayed on screen. The most we get is him blocking Hulk's punch, but I want to see him chucking around cargo containers, catching cars, bending/breaking steel bars and even jumping around with super strength like Wonder Woman, Hulk and Kryptonians can do. Even the freaking Power Rangers can jump further than he can.
At this point even Captain America has better strength feats in movies. Holding down a chopper, lifting a motorcycle with women above his head, tearing a log in half with his bare hands, etc.
Thor needs to get more respect from the MCU.

Nah Thor has a really good strength feat in the first movie when he's fighting the Frost Giants.
Dude smacked the ground so hard he pretty much made the entire area collapse in on itself.

Loki stabs and collects the eye off a random person. Loki runs Coulson through the chest and kills him. Groot skewers multiple troops through their torsos and ragdolls them. Hulk ragdolls Loki. Cap takes multiple unanswered hits to the face from Bucky's robo arm. Cap and IM beat each other to a pulp. Far more than Batman and Superman ever go beating each other up. I could come up with a lot more but this should suffice to give you the idea. Fact is, MCU heroes (and villains) kill far more regularly and are way more trigger happy. Yes, they will joke about it and show it in humorous light... but that doesn't change the fact that the average MCU movie contains far more violent acts than the average Fox or DC movie. |

However, if spidey didn't throw even one punch and you already admit there was fighting in the DC movies it would seem you have already contradicted your point. Wasn't most of the fighting in Civil War hero vs hero? It's not like they were trying to kill each other or anything. 22 minutes into WW and her hair is already messed up and she has been hurt and has a big cut on her arm. Also a la MCU she has been emotionally hurt as well after watching several Amazonian friends die. Why did you lie to me? That's not cool bro. |

I just looked up the scene, is it this one? Loki scans the eye (not of a random person!) with a device to open a vault. The Geman language explicitly states "retina-Scan" and "positive recognition" and "unlock". One must really project a lot into this so to interpret this as "stabs" the eye and "collects" it.
Apart from this, even if he did that, it was depicted in a kiddy-friendly, only semi-indicated way. Superman Returns had a more explicit bullet in the eye scene than that (most willl actually remember).

You are making it too easy for me, samy: Supes death created the impetus to found the Justice League - as was explicitly spoon fed to us at the funeral scene. Why were the Avengers founded btw (I mean besides copying DC's Justice league)...? And lol at group go off.
Well if you hear so much about feces in a few films (where did they say poo poo head again, was it the last entry?) it's worth showing where their place is in the cinematic kiddy pool is. As you know, the turd always floats at the shallow parts of that pool.
And again you are reaching, DC or X-Men will not do squishy turd and dance-off jokes in the dialogue, no indication whatsoever (if you discount SuicideSquad being essentially a cinematic POS alongside with Hulk, IM2, Thor2 etc).

They had mystical energy blasts, pretty much the same thing as lasers. First Avenger is basically what would've happened if the Nazis were ever able to weaponize any of their mystical artifacts. So by that logic Indiana Jones is no better than First Avenger. And it does change that odds are DCEU will ignore whatever poignancy Steve's death brought and revive him. At least in Bucky and Nick's case their revivals had precedent. Supes' death was a waste, because they didn't need him to die to form the League and it takes away from actually building up his character to the point it would be a real tragedy if he died. As for the Avengers, are you saying people shouldn't go off and relax after a successful job? They mention feces once in a movie and you get this worked up over it? Do get over yourself. No, DC and X-Men just are pretentious. Which is worse than not being ashamed of who you are and where you came from. I want the MCU to NOT be pretentious drek, which means the opposite of the FoX-Men and DCEU. |
