All of them. Ok fine, he was probably the most memorable character.

In other words, James Cameron likely wants him to be the next Darth Vader.

I don't think any studio is going to be willing to put a major movie on that particular month. While Avatar 2 could very well end up falling flat on its face, the fact that it's predecessor is currently the highest grossing movie worldwide will likely discourage other studios from challenging it.

A good Marvel movie will make short work of anything James Cameron is capable of.

I suppose Disney could possibly put a Star Wars movie in that month, but it seems like they prefer releasing them in May. The only reason their first 3 Star Wars films were released/scheduled for December was because of production delays. Besides, I'm not sure it's a good idea to underestimate James Cameron.

Because he knows how to manipulate the lowest common denominator?

Because his last two films were massive hits, with Titanic in particular having been number 1 at the box office for 15 consecutive weeks, and a total gross of $1.8 billion in an age where movies didn't benefit from 3D ticket prices, and China was a much smaller market. Like it or not, James Cameron's past few films have been huge money makers.

The real villain will always be James Cameron for throwing such crap at audiences. To think, a once brilliant filmmaker reduced to pandering to the easily impressed.

Well whether we like his recent work or not he is pushing boundaries, he's been called the "NASA of filmmaking" for some time and I can't disagree with that suggestion.

All he's done is help Hollywood find new ways to be lazy when it comes to writing.

I can't believe this is the same guy who made some of the best science fiction and action movies ever made.
