In 42 PA with his new team, the Rays, penishead Lucas Duda is slashing.313/.452./.656, good for a 1.109 OPS. Fuck him.

I know the market for Jay Bruce wasn't great, but I find it hard to believe that Ryder Ryan, a flier pick with an ERA over 4 in A ball, was the best they could do. Straight salary dump by Alderson, a guy who often makes questionable moves. They could have kept him for the rest of the year, paid him his $5m remaining this year or whatever it is, made him a qualifying offer (that he would have rejected given his age and attributes) and then gotten draft pick compensation when he signed elsewhere. Puzzling move.

Pitchers adjust to the big boppers and he couldn't keep up his pre All-Star numbers. But I always thought that Judge reminded me of a bulky Dave Kingman. Mother of God, there's only seven weeks left in the season. Where did the summer go?

Reds about to win 3, count em, 3 straight!! (Edit: holy shit, maybe too early to say that - Another edit: 7 runs in the 6th for the Brewers!!!)
Astros in freefall? lost their last 3 and currently getting blown out by the Rangers.

Whoever gets the 2nd Wild Card in the A.L. will have a crap record. Currently projects to be Tampa at 82-80, @ the Yankees. Though Fangraphs is conservative and has no team playing the rest of their games over .596 (LA) or under .370 (Hawks, I mean White Sox) www.fangraphs.com/depthcharts.aspx?position=Standings#AL-E
