This is too much now. Soon enough Netflix will consist of their exclusives only, since everyone else would've start their own subscription services and removed their content from Netflix.

If it features classic Disney films and shows I might be interested.

Terrible idea.
Pretty soon every company will follow suite and start their own streaming service. Then you will have to subscribe to 10+ services to get everything you want.

It's interesting that everyone's looking at Disney as the bad guy. Netflix kind of sucks. They have some really good original programming, but their movie selection is terrible. They don't even bother with new releases, which is pathetic.

I predict this will fail. There is a reason The Disney Channel stopped being a premium channel and became a basic cable channel in the '90s.

I think such a service should feature lots of vintage cartoon shorts. I love vintage cartoon shorts, particularly those in glorious Technicolor.

This is just one step closer to No Cable.
Soon there will be no Disney Channel or Nickelodeon, or TNT etc...
There will be the Disney App, ESPN app, Nick app and you'll pay a monthly fee for the apps/streaming service you want, instead of a one bill service.
They want the whole world to switch to streaming. This will eliminate all the small channels like DIY, HGTV, Destinaion America etc...
Or they'll have Time Warner apps as a package, Viacom apps as a package, and Disney apps as a package.

It is pretty crazy to think that cable could be totally fazed out soon. The times they are a'changin'.

And thus the downfall of Netflix... unless their own exclusives are amazing. I suppose they're starting to think ahead though. They've already bought Millarworld to get their comic/superhero fix. Millarworld if you don't know is responsible for creating properties like Wanted, Kick Ass and Kingsmen.

If it features classic Disney films and shows I might be interested. Imagine if it had The Disney Afternoon Block? Goof Troop, Gummi Bears, DuckTales, Gargoyles, Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers, TailSpin and more... I'd buy it just for that, plus the Masterpiece Film Collection.

Terrible idea unless they play the old Disney shorts and play the old '50s to '70s Disney live action films. Apparently most if not all have been restored at least to HD or 2K quality but very few have been released except through the Disney Movie Club and even then the releases have been sporadic.

I don't know what their mail service like anymore, but cannot have new releases on their streaming service is pathetic. I have never been a huge fan of Netflix for that reason. They put out some pretty damn good TV shows, but as far as movies go, they suck.
