Fun hypothetical! I would say probably $1000. It's a nice round number. I think anything less wouldn't be worth the inconvenience of having to avoid it. Why not more? $1000 would be useful enough to me. I'm sure Infinity War will be entertaining, but I fear that it will lack narrative focus because of the sheer number of characters involved. It's certainly not an "I can't miss it" movie for me. I'm looking forward to Guardians 3 more than this one. I'm actually confused, how is the payoff film to everything they've done so far not an "i can't miss it" film. I'm not sure why you're watching them if that's the case. To tell you the truth, I'm not as personally invested in the MCU (as a whole) as I am with some of its sub-series (or even just individual films). I watch the series for the merit of the individual films rather than the overall series: As stories in and of themselves, rather than parts of a larger story. I guess, this is where we don't see eye-to-eye, ArArArchStanton: I'm not at all bothered by a film not having set-ups to future films. In fact, in most cases, I think they fare better without them. So, yeah, I haven't been as eagerly awaiting the arrival of Thanos as most MCU fans. More power to the people who have.

I respect that, however, we already have dozens of comic films that don't have set ups and exist all on their own. You can find that many other places. The MCU is a once in a lifetime achievement of creating this vast interconnected universe. The level of work and detail they have invested in this 22 film project is a work of art and it deserves admiration for what they've been able to accomplish. I don't see how this is anything less than the pinnacle of comic filmmaking, to take the interconnectiveness of the comic medium and put that to film over dozens of different projects. The idea of sitting back and saying it would be better without that, well there is just not minute sliver of that concept that even remotely becomes an option to me. I legitimately have no clue why that would be preferable. I really don't. Just being honest.
