Bitter and hateful. (Though Lake Michigan is completely iced over, an enormous sheet of white and I must say that part is eerily beautiful.) I cannot even express how much I am looking forward to Spring.

Hey, that first pic is Montrose Harbor (Lake MI), not more than 2 miles from where I live! (Used to be super cruisy! ) Awesome! I love recognizing that stuff. I just got done watching Damien: Omen 2, which takes place mostly Chicago! Thanks for the pic, Toasted Cheese! Did you know that first one was Lake Michigan?

I wanted one with Ice Skating, but couldn't find one.
I have been considering re-visiting The Omen films. I do find it difficult to sit through the third one though. There appears to be something missing from it to my mind. It is a bit dreary as well.
Here is one on Lake Michigan I think, or by the header:

I watched all three of The Omen films this evening. The first one I think is excellent (so much better than The Exorcist, I always thought, and probably the scariest score ever), the second one is just a lot of fun and the third one is, yes, like you said, very dreary. It's just bland, with super dumb murders. No movie making oomph whatsoever. (The deaths in the second one were borderline over the top, but very entertaining (I always die whenever I see reporter Joan Hart rolling around in the dirt with a crow, letting everybody see her business. Granny Panties Alert! Her death was so undignified!), and then there's Lee Grant, who is excellent in everything.) At some point I thought that if Damien Thorn and Donald Trump turned out to be the same person, he wouldn't have to change the monograms on his towels. I do not recognize any part of the last pic you posted, but of course, that means absolutely nothing.

You have been a very busy boy with The Omens. Why would they let this series die out with a fizzer? It was made in an era when slashers were popular, but apart from the first murder with the senator guy blowing his brains out, the rest of it is just lackluster and even insipid. This was the demise of the Prince Of Evil and he gets stabbed with a needle. Yeah! So What! I was real scared! He was grown up and there was great potential to take it many places. At least part II was still creepy and inventive, granny panties and all.
The original director got canned from II, because the producers wern't happy with his approach and he wasn't following the producers instructions. Mike Hodges who went on to do that fun camp classic Flash Gordon. Some of his scenes are still retained, but Harts death was one of the reason he got canned. He was told not to put her in that red suit, as it was out of context with her character and he refused and shot the scene as he wanted too. I think he wanted the color red symbolic, something they utilized in the remake more. However, as commented by Harvey Bernhard, she looked ridiculous.
A friend of mine in NZ loves 70's and 80's t.v movies and she was telling me how much she liked Summer Of Fear. She scours you tube for them and likes Dennis Weaver, Wheels of Terror and Cocaine, One Man's Poison.

Seattle: cold, spitting light rain right now, but threatens to turn to wet snow in the early morning hours for some areas... Morning commute may be problematic for some.

So, is your heat wave over? I've not been keeping up with news, much. Yes, we got some very chilly weather recently. It got down as low as 18 or 19 C, which is about 66 F. However, today will be about 25 C, which is about 77F. Nice for a birthday. Happy (belated) birthday! You're an Aquarius. That's cool. 66 degrees Fahrenheit is near perfect.

About to rain I think. Was warm and windy this afternoon. I went to the beach. I am lucky to live in Florida, especially this winter.

Had a taste of "March coming in like a lion" a few days early. Very windy today - cold north wind, too. But at least it's clear out: neither rain nor snow is in the forecast.
