The Shield - Family Meeting
One of the best endings for a modern show. Devastating yet I can't see how it would end any other way.

I dont get the big deal with series finales. Can't think of any that were a big disappointment. The only disappointment to me is that the series is over.

The Shield and Six Feet Under are the best examples I can think of. Other great ones: Justified, ST: The Next Generation, ST: Deep Space Nine, Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire, The Wire, The Sopranos
Pretty good: Breaking Bad, House, 24
Poor: Sons of Anarchy
Abysmal: Dexter

I was so sad to see Cheers end. In my mind it was the best comedy series of all-time. Unlike most I actually liked the series finale of The Leftovers. |

Six Feet Under's finale surpassed the rest of the show. Blackadder's (re: the final episopde of Blackadder Goes Forth) also takes the show to another level.

Santuary was pretty good, finally got Tesla/Magnus, Henry didn't die.
Boston Legal had a pretty good one.

The series finales for Babylon 5 and Person of Interest are my two favorites. Both were very emotional stories.
