Hollywood scribes love their romance triangles and in 1940s western abilene town Randolph Scott gets to choose between a beautiful wholesome Fleming and a loud obnoxious Ann Dvorak. He gets it inexcusably wrong, while Rhonda Fleming ends up with a far too lucky Lloyd Bridges.
