Now that the Phillipe has submitted a transfer request, I am intrigued to know what Klopp would do if the move to Barca went through. Would he quit ? I don't now enough about his past to hazard a guess but he has dug his heels in about NOT ALLOWING Coutinho to leave and if the LFC board decided to take the money rather than have an unhappy player around stirring things up, Klopp might feel betrayed and demoralised.
I will watch this space.

Given the disaster (or success if you're FSG I guess!) of Liverpool's summer transfer business I was just wondering exactly the same thing.
I would really hope he would quit - Once again when the CL stick or twist opportunity has come up Liverpool have totally blown it. A minimum of 2/3 top quality players should have been signed up by now to kick on, yet only one has arrived. You can't even really blame Coutinho for wanting out...
If Klopp didn't follow him out the door, he'd have to accept he was nothing more than an upgraded smokescreen from Roger's David Brent b*llshit - "BOOM!"

I've never known a manager to quit because a player wanted out. Liverpool should give him hell if he ever shows his face at Anfield again, throw a thousand pig heads at him, none of this modern day applauding them for giving you 2 or 3 good seasons then ditching you at the first opportunity. PS Midi... Premier League prediction league, loads of fun... doesn't take long... a minute or two a week... you got a few hours till first game... www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/predictorOnce you've signed up, pin for our league is zxawxc

Seriously - after two summer transfer windows - who are Klopp's actual signings? Matip and Klavan... any more?

Bought Sane as well, he has been a good signing, people thought he overspent but looking like good business now, Salah from Roma this summer. MrFurious will probably know better than me! To be fair Klopp is used to losing his best players from his Dortmund days, and he did say when he left Dortmund he didn't want to manage a top, top team, so I guess it comes with the territory. But I am surprised they haven't spent a bit more, but the market has gone crazy, still time though...

Not sure about Klopp... on the one hand, he's used to it from Dortmund, on the other, he sounded very determined that this will not happen in Liverpool to him. Depends on what they've promised him.

Salah's hit the ground running. Solankes been very impressive. Robertson looked fine against AtMadrd. Don't know what yer on about. And what kids came in to play during the Summer were fine too.

What would he do if he quit Liverpool? I don't really see him joining another PL club, I think he has too much integrity to do that to Liverpool, in Spain they don't care who you are, they sack you at the first sign of trouble, maybe go back to Germany, but unless he got the Munich job anywhere else is a step down or a sideways step at best, and would he want to manage Bayern anyway? Nah, he's not leaving. S'pose Italy, but if you can't speak the lingo you're gonna struggle. You joining the prediction league? You have two hours, you know it makes sense!

Integrity isn't a one-way thing. That's why I said it depends on what he was promised. If you feel betrayed, then there's no point upholding an obviously one-sided loyalty.
Nah, I'm not joining a PL prediction game. Can't even begin to hope predicting how the Bundesliga will end.

No problem at all, mandragora, none of us have a clue either.

Yeah, Germans have principles... Leave this Hellhole in Liverpool, have a nice sabbatical, and take over Bayern Munich next season. Looks like a perfect plan to me.

Coincidentally Tuchel's on the market. Remember him saying with his and Klopp's history, he already knows where he'll end up next.

Can't understand all this talk of Klopp leaving over Cout leaving. Not gonna happen. It'll be a long time before Klopp walks And why would he want to go to BM anyway where his only real challenge is winning the Champions League, the PL is where all the great managers want to come to prove themselves.

Yeah, Germans have principles... LOL Why would he, or any manager, want to go to a club that cruises to the title in second gear? Frankly, the reason I'm not remotely convinced by Guardiola is because he did exactly that. I predict he'll leave England without ever having won the league.

Don't want either one back (Klopp, Guardiola). Have enough Klopp commercials as it is, and the personality cult surrounding both is putting me off. Not interested in their football anymore, either. Far more annoyed over having lost Tuchel and R. Schmidt.
