Looks like a good team to me, on paper, I think that's the best team in the country.
But football throws up funny things sometimes.

Title odds pre-match : City 6/4 Utd 7/2 CFC 11/2 Spurs 9 Arsenal 10 Liverpool 14 Everton 80 Don't see much value there. I do have a sneaky feeling Arsenal are going to have a good year, if I was a betting man I'd back them banking on them getting a good start, then wait for the odds to close in, and lay it off before they do their usual annual bottle job. Nothing wrong with them attacking wise, it is their defence as usual that would make me nervous. Spurs, maybe worth a punt, we'll see how they get on against Chelsea at home. But don't gamble kids.

Blatant hands from Jesus as he helps it in with a flick of the palm on '27. Well spotted by Oliver and Jesus picks up a Yellow for his troubles even though he played dead hoping the ref would forget. No chance, Jesus, this is Michael Oliver.

Goalless by the seaside with the home side holding out for now. The goals will surely come for City - but you wouldn't expect a glut. And Gladioli is dressed more for the golf course than the footy field, you have to say, although his sweater alone cost more than my entire wardrobe.

Stephens is robbed by De Bruyne forty yards out who feeds it along to De Silva who in turn finds Aguero who slots it cleanly home on '70. Hughton's boys had done well to keep them out this long and have had a real chance or two of their own.

An unfortunate moment for Brighton defender Lewis Dunk as his head connects with the ball from a City cross and sends it sorrowfully past Ryan in the Brighton goal. Ryan made a desperate attempt to stop it but it wiggled its way under his scrabbling arm. 0-2 City with ten left.

Post match title odds and City come in a touch to 13/10 from 6/4, with the field, bar CFC (drifting a point to 13/2) unchanged. Citeh were good but 13/10?

Mature performance from City. Never looked troubled except a very brief spell after HT.
As for Brighton, no skill, no pace, no creativity, no flair, no threat... but they were reasonably well organised, and that was the best team they'll probably play this season. So.. we'll see with them...
