Why any team would burn a high draft pick on a kicker is beyond me. How many have been worth a damn? Ray Guy, Sebastian Janikowski, probably one or two more. Most of the time they come up with a Rob Aguayo or Russell Erxleben.

That means they most likely had to give up their second and their 3rd rd pick for him and probably a 5th as well. That has to sting. I wonder who talked Dirk Koetter into that brilliant move? At least he will get to be on Hard Knocks now. |

Patriots will sign him where he'll become a Hall of Famer. Not untrue possibly later on. He was seen as a safe pick because he kicked with such relaxed success, + having been in several big games. NFC South must also be the easiest division in which to be a kicker. |
