I can't see myself dumping movies as one of the more reliable forms of entertainment anytime for the foreseeable future. sure, there are times where ill watch less movies than usual but I can't see a time coming, at least not from what I can tell, where I rarely watch movies. like even though I suspect that my general 'first time' movie viewings have declined (because I feel I have largely exhausted seeing the movies of any real worth), it's the re-watches of movies I know I like that keeps them solid for me in the long term. j2Yeah, I also got a letterboxd account which is what the 'My Favorite Movies' and 'The Best of The Rest' links link to in my signature here. hell, if I recall correctly I think one reason that really got me to dump using IMDb lists and switch to that was because you can't adjust how movies are listed in a list you make even though you used to be able to as I think around the time I dumped the lists on IMDb, like when adding a new movie to my top movies lists it would just add it to the bottom and you could not adjust where it was in the list which was important given the way I got my 'My Favorite Movies' list setup with my 10/10 listed first (in no order), down to my 9/10's (in no order), to 8/10's, to 7.5-8/10, to 7/10. I use IMDb for keeping track of what I see though. but other than that, it took a solid hit after they dumped the message boards. but after reading j2's comment from Feb 6th 2017... it sucks IMDb views things COMPLETELY from a $ perspective as like was said in there you would think given the vast volume of info they have, that's worth something regardless of the profits.
