The Dodgers still haven't played anybody (especially from the AL) that is good. Plus, I am not at all convinced that the Dodgers Pitching has gotten any better than it was last season. I think that a lot of the hype over them is pretty overrated. What does everyone else here think ?

To me they are just like the Nationals - a first round exit until they aren't.

The Rockies AND the Diamondbacks both have better records than any second place team in baseball (and better than any team in either Central division). The NL has better records down the board: 1st: Dodgers have 11 more wins than the Astros. 2nd: Nationals have 3 more wins than the Red Sox. 3rd: Rockies have 2 more wins than the Indians. 4th: Diamondbacks have 4 more wins than the Yankees. 5th: Cubs have the same number of wins as the Angels. 6th: Cardinals have 2 more wins than the Twins. If the Dodgers lost every game for the rest of the season, they'd have a winning record for the year. They haven't lost a series since early June. They may not win the World Series, but they have easily played better than every other team in the majors this year.

In Baseball, it is really all about Pitching and I am not sold on the Dodgers Pitchers at all.

I agree, Tom. Until they're giving up no more than 0 runs a game, their pitching is a problem.
It's just like basketball. I'm so sick of teams giving up more points than they score. They should play some freaking defense! Did you see the Warriors last year? They were EXTREMELY lucky to win the championship, after giving up more points than they scored MULTIPLE times. Defense!!!

LOL! When it comes to both Pitching and Defense....I don't want Pitching and Defense that are Good, I don't want Pitching and Defense that are Great, I want Pitching and Defense that are PERFECT. I want PERFECT Pitching and The PERFECT Defense!

They may not win the World Series, but they have easily played better than every other team in the majors this year. What about the Dodgers Pitching ? In Baseball, it is really all about Pitching and I am not sold on the Dodgers Pitchers at all. Let's see: * They are first in the majors in ERA: 3.12. The distance between them and second place Arizona (3.59) is the distance between Arizona and 8th place Washington (4.03). * They have given up the least number of walks in the majors, nine fewer than second place Cleveland even though the Dodgers have played 29 more innings of baseball. * They are first in batting average against: .223. Yankees are second at .233. The argument against them is that they are 18th in quality starts with 50. The Nationals are first with 74. That could play a role. That being said, San Francisco is fourth in quality starts with 63 and have the third worse record in baseball while Houston is 24th in quality starts and have the second best record in baseball. Quality starts may mean dick in terms of success.

Honestly as of Right Now, The Los Angeles Dodgers remind me the 2001 Seattle Mariners.

....wow. puig knocks in the winning run. Three runs in the ninth. Nineteen straight series they've either won or tied; 24-5 since the All-Star break. Fourteen of their next seventeen are on the road, though.
