There are so few threads here at the moment I thought its good to bulk the place up a bit and this was the last Movie I watched so it was a good start
I thought it was a good Movie with some creative kills (like the basketball one) and the music was good, story was ok, acting was good as was the pacing
Not as good as Nightmare on Elm Street or Scream but a good Wes Craven Movie
So what are your thoughts on it?

It was a troubled production with disagreements behind the scenes that stifled Wes Craven's creativity. Despite this, Craven still delivers some classic set-pieces and it's just a fun movie all round.

Was that the one about the robot dog, the robot chick or the super smart monkey? Although I don't remember it I'm betting there is a scene with booby traps, right?

I am not a fan. I enjoyed the first 20 min. of the movie but once she dies the film becomes very disjointed imo. The movie is tonally all over the place too. I especially dislike the last act of the movie and find it very lazy.
It's a pretty dumb movie if you ask me but I don't hate it or anything, it's just meh. It's basically a silly rip-off of Frankenstien that is neither funny, creepy or scary. There are some effective emotional scenes though and that is when it is at it's best.
Besides A Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream, The Serpent and the Rainbow and Music of the Heart I don't think Craven is a very talented director. I also have a huge problem with the shift in tone towards the end of The People Under the Stairs but that movie is much more intersting than Deadly Friend.
