Surely there were some decent Brit managers available. This need to bring marquee signings to a club even in the managers seat seems remarkably short sighted. It's the Pulis' and Hughes type folk that are required at the level Palace should be aspiring to, which is around 12th. |

exactly - just someone that knows how to play with the players you have got v the players you play against.
its what the PL is about.
this isnt La liga man, were playing pretty football is the key (bar the king team athletico with simone that gets tactics) - its about winning or drawing at all costs in this bad boy man.

I can assure you all, I haven't hacked into the BBC servers to place myself top, I promise! Fantastic starts also, for Stags with a whopping 140, and Mangek and zxawxc with 130 (how are you pronouncing that doug?). With 9 players in total scoring centuries on the first week, the competition is going to be stiff! And absolutely no one is out of it, if we wrote off guys who got off to bad starts last year, and handed out trophies to the guys who started well... well we didn't thankfully! The big one is Spurs and CFC at Wembley. No Hazard, no Fabregas, no Cahill and of course no Costa. Spurs will start with a line-up capable of seeing off just about anyone, in my eyes. They'll have been training on the Wembley pitch, set-pieces, width-to-width / length-to-length sprinting to reacquaint themselves with the pitch dimensions. They'll be pretty up for it, I'd say.
One poor result against Burnley doesn't look good at all but it's hardly a crisis for CFC. But of course the Haters are loving it and have already written off a Blue Finale (Royal blue, at least) Come back in ten games time for a better picture.
That said, I have just altered my prediction for this game, having done a fair bit of weighing up. CFC will come good...just not on Saturday. But, brother, I hope I'm wrong and would forfeit my points quite gladly.
