No, not a charity gig with players barreling around the school playing fields like we used to do on Sports Day, but about the inevitable sackings/departures to come as we head into a new season.
I'll go a fantasy fiver on Bilic. A decent end to last season, finishing 11th, and following that dismal run of 5 straight league defeats in March/early April, they finished well, losing just one of their remaining 7 league fixtures (that 0-4 hammering by Liverpool - was this the game where Bilic picked up the pitchside BBC MOTD furry mic and threw it hard to the ground in frustration, maybe, I'm not sure) I mean, the form has not been terrible but I see Bilic as a wild one - a bust-up with the suits upstairs, a dressing room dressing-down, his parking space taken one morning at the London Stadium - with this guy, you never know, anything is liable to set him off. Resignation more likely than the sack, I reckon. What do you say?

I was gonna say Bilic before I even opened the thread, but you've beaten me to it. They'll say it was by 'mutual consent', but really he'll be sacked.
Okay I'll say someone different to make it interesting, I'll go with Frank de Boer, he could easily turn Palace's fortunes round, but when you get hammered 3-0 at home to a team that has only just come up. That does not bode well. Sorry Runie, he's no Big Sam.

no apoligies needed stan - to play a possesion game he needs the players - we dont have them - we have about 4 non donkies. unless he switches it and goes 4 defence with a holding dm with fast wingers we are fcked and he will be before

I think sometimes, even when a new manager has had a chance to work with players up close and personal, the fans still know the players better than they do. The worst is when they are too stubborn to change it, still though, I think it is quite early days, who thought Chelsea were going to win the league last year after they picked up 1 point in 9 early on in the season and got hammered to Arsenal 3-0? Probably absolutely no one. So things can change.

yep things can change - but de boers record doesnt testifiy that he will -- he didnt last long in itsly - he could play his style at ajax because he had the best players. seria a and the pl are tough leagues man. and the fact he didnt learn from the italian failure does not bode well .
he needs a word in his ear. and fast - but he could be too stubborn.

Doesn't get much easier for Palace playing at Anfield. The good news for Palace, is Liverpool still can't defend for love or money and they have a CL qualifier either side. Still though, it would take a brave man to back Palace for the win.

Mark Hughes first to depart from Stoke.
Don't know why, Stoke overachieved last season.
But he will be first to go.

I hope the geordies usual unreal expectations don't get the better of them for once. Got to be be Bilic IMHO. palace will have to give a possibly dangerous amount of time to their new man, but there will likely be 3 worse teams than them so they will probably get rid of him next summer. Conte will be first to leave though.

Does sack include resignation? In betting terms, yes. 'Departure Race' would prob be more apt, but I guess 'Sack Race' is a more marketable term.

I think Conte might walk if he doesn't get the kind of backing he wants If Arsenal continue as they did today, Wenger might run for his life. WHU just don't feel right, so Bilic will go or they'll go down. De Boer looks doomed already.

WHU just don't feel right, so Bilic will go or they'll go down. De Boer looks doomed already. Bilic still looks value at 4/1 (shaved by half a point) with the same firm (Skybet) Meanwhile De Boer has had his odds slashed by more than half and is now the front runner at 3/1 from 7/1 last week. Conte and Benitez have both drifted from 7/2 to Fours. Mark Hughes fattens to 8/1 from 9/2 following today's result while Wenger is cut from 50 to 33. Maureen, Poch and Gladioli all offer themselves at 100/1. Hughton comes in to 16 from 20, Klopp drifts to 33 and Ronald Koeman is holding steady at 25.

So the first runner to fall is De Boer. A surprisingly early faller, or perhaps as someone said elsewhere on here the decision should be judged at the end of the season. Bilic, whose side entertain Huddy later tonight, is now clear all-out favourite to go next. The latest book from Coral :
