Could very well be. Sexism is such a prevalent accusation these days. The other night I learned the movie "Dunkirk" is considered racist and sexist by SJWs because there are no blacks and the only women in the movie are nurses and stuff. I want to say, "Hey, idiots, they didn't have black guys in the British Army in 1940. And they certainly didn't have women in the British Army in 1940, except for nurses and stuff. And that's just the way it happened, like it or not." |

One of my uncles was at Normandy and he spent a night in a foxhole accompanied by two dead Senegalese soldiers, so I know they were involved in the war, but that was in '44, and Dunkirk was in '40. |

I've never seen anything so far to indicate that the French brought in any colonial forces to defend France in 1940, but they were deployed in 1944 for the liberation of France. The sengalese were present from the start of the war. if you only include africans as your issue with whitewashing then you are whitewashing out the Indians too, the point being that the whitewashing occured whether you think indians are black or not |

Even though the people making the complaints specifically stated that missing the Indians was one of their problems with the movie. But then what do they know, huh? Oh, and another complaint was that "It also ignores the fact that by 1938, lascars – mostly from South Asia and East Africa – counted for one of four crewmen on British merchant vessels, and thus participated in large numbers in the evacuation."
