I think so. Even Return of the Jedi ISN'T in the same league as the two previous films, but was necessary so as to not end on a cliffhanger.

Your second "choice" is actually a double answer, and a loaded one at that--a variation on "Have you stopped beating your wife?" or "Are you now or have you ever been a Communist?" If someone enjoyed the prequels, it doesn't necessarily follow that s/he enjoyed the sequels, and vice versa...nor is it fair to ask people to agree that something they liked is "crappy" (not to mention that a person may have liked one or two of the prequels or sequels and hated the others). It seems fairly obvious (to me, anyway) that you are setting up a situation in which anyone who checked anything but the first choice--thus agreeing with you--will be eternally damned in your eyes...or at least for a really, really long time.

Should have ended with STAR WARS. I LOVE both Star Wars (1977) and The Empire Strikes Back (1980). NOT so much Return of the Jedi (1983). I just included it too to make the trilogy complete and NOT end on a cliffhanger. Although it wouldn't bother me that much as people today would be forever wondering IF Darth Vader really IS or ISN'T Anakin Skywalker aka Luke's real father. Provided George Lucus wasn't answering that.

Should have ended with STAR WARS. But then the world wouldn't have Admiral Ackbar!

No. I think Revenge of the Sith, The Force Awakens, and Solo are legitimately good movies. We also wouldn't have gotten the Clone Wars series if the prequels hadn't been made.

Should have ended with STAR WARS. I would take the words of an Ackbar seriously in this except if there is no ROTJ there is no Mon Calamari--would you really not want them to exist or do you prefer a Star Wars SE where the Ackbars blow up the Death Star?
I can see the viewpoint of ending with SW though.
ROTJ has problems which makes it an uneven conclusion (but not one helped by any further films). The more films made, the more the story has been adversely affected.
I guess on e could say when it comes to more Star Wars movies,
it's a trap!
