To be fair, that was reportedly the same reaction that dog actor Higgins had when he was reunited with actor Edgar Buchanan
for the movie Benji; the two had co-starred in the TV series Petticoat Junction a few years earlier.
I love the way the dog spotted his owner right away as he was being carried in and couldn't wait to return to him. As for the woman who bought him off the street for $50--nobody is that naive anymore not to suspect that the dog had been stolen. Someone who has all those facial piercings can easily afford to buy a dog for her mother through more legitimate channels.
