Marvel Generations books suck.
Why do I say that: So far we've gotten three of them; team-ups between current versions of characters and their original counterparts - Banner Hulk and Totally Awesome Hulk, Jean Grey and Phoenix, and Logan Wolverine and X-23 Wolverine.
This is how the story for each starts: The younger, newer version just shows up someplace, sometime where the older version is. This is how the story for each proceeds: They team up to fight... something. This is how the story for each ends: After having beat that something the newer/younger version then promptly disappears. That's it! That the whole thing! And whats worse is that during the team up its not like anything of any depth happens! They don't learn anything new about one another, no specific events happens that will impact the characters in the future, nothing of any importance whatsoever happens!
What's the point of these books? I think its fair to say that we were lead to believe these books were part of an effort to bring back the classic version of at least SOME of these characters, weren't we? So WTF? After three of these books its clear that's not the case.
These are just money grabbing one shots of little to no significance.
And I'll bet Legacy turns out the same, though I hope not.
Thoughts?

I haven't read any of these books so I'll have to take your word for it. It's been years since I last had any books from Marvel or DC.
