I'll start us off. Mine is E.T. Excellent Ews ! That's a really fine classic memorable film indeed . That one is definitely in my top ten favorites of all time - yet it's still undecided as to which number on my list though . Unfortunately my #1. favorite film of all time - has been one that sadly a lot of people on the web either hated or truly made fun of over the years . For me it's been a " wonderful memory film " that was so close to my heart and grew up with as a child and in my teen years as well ( and it's a musical also - excellent soundtrack too ) . It's also the inspiration to where I got my screen name from too ( but different spelling of course ? ) . It is ( drum roll ... ) - " Xanadu " from 1980 . My second favorite film of all time is - " Harvey " from 1950 ( the inspiration for my Avatar pic as well ) . Thanks so much Ews for your subject post .

It Happened One Night (1934) So that's what this film was ! One of the " Sex And The City " movies showed this particular film clip on Carrie & Big's TV in either there apartment home or their hotel room ( can't recall at the moment ? ) . I certainly will be looking out for this one on TCM as well . Thanks so much Wesley Crusher for this movie recommendation .

You are welcome! I can't tell you how much this film helped me develop character as a young man (<---or more probably, reinforced positive character traits I already had, but sometimes questioned, given the corruptness of the world around us). Doubles as an effective love story, with doses of the importance of family, spirituality and brotherhood. Not to mention, just a great story involving mob corruption among-st the longshoreman of mid 20th Century America. Enjoy. Highly, highly recommended!

Chinatown starring Jack Nicholson, Faye Dunaway and John Huston. Perfect noir.
