God I can't stand MLB umpires. You're so oppressed. You're completely above reproach. Every call of every game you make is perfect. How dare anyone EVER criticize a single call you make? I mean, when I buy a ticket to a game, I don't want to see Mike Trout or Bryce Harper or Clayton Kershaw, I want to see You! So please, continue to wear your white wristbands to point out that there's Jesus, there's Nelson Mandela, and then there's Joe West and Angel Hernandez. Angel Hernandez Up On The Cross

Joe West had a horrible game between the Jays/Cubs yesterday if you believe the onscreen pitch tracker.

Most MLB umpires are great. It's like that the announcers say, the less you notice an ump, the better he is. And when they make mistakes, you really notice it. One of the best umpires I ever seen was Jim Joyce, the guy who blew Armando Galarraga's perfect game. But when you see an guy working home and you know there will be bad calls, the league has to step in. Joe West, Angel Hernandez and Jerry Meals. Replay has helped a lot, but I think the strike zone has got worse since replay came into being. And I guess you can't fire them or you run the risk of more white armbands.

Angel Hernandez Up On The CrossI don't like Kinsler going public and stating he needs to find another area of work and accusing him of blatantly screwing with games. You don't mess with another man's job - this ump has a level of authority. That's not to say you bow down to authority in every aspect of life - but the 'find another area of work' was uncalled for. He's a professional and I'm sure MLB's higher ups have their eyes on all these umps. Somebody is always policing the police. Shut up and collect your millions.

Well it's not like Kinsler was the first person to have negative comments about Hernandez. Just because Hernandez is a veteran umpire doesn't make him beyond reproach. If it was just getting calls wrong (which he does), that's one thing, it's that coupled with his attitude. And he has the fucking balls to sue MLB for racial discrimination? That clown is lucky to have a job.

That clown is lucky to have a job. I agree about the 'beyond reproach' comment. I never liked 'Cowboy' Joe West either being throughout the years the Phils have had a problem with him. But these guys are being 'policed' so to speak by MLB. I don't mind 'criticism' - but stating another individual should be looking for another line of work - going public with it in Kinser's case - it's uncalled for in my eyes. Never mess with another man's livelihood or job. I'm not saying you never 'question' authority in life - but there's a 'work ladder' in corporations for a reason - this guy is being watched. The accusing him of sabotaging games and stating he needs to seek other employment was out of lines IMO. Shut up - get your 4 at bats everygame for playing a kids sport and collect your ridiculous paycheck - no need to call for another guys job. Kinsler comes across as a whiney bitch calling for somebody elses head. I'm sure we've all dealt with 'lousy employees' we work with whether they may be below us, at our level or above us - going public and stating they need to seek other work - bad look - let their actions speak for themselves and typically if they are a bad employee they sabotage themselves.
