Although I am right handed, I used to be able to braid my hair with one hand - the left hand. It wasn't the neatest braid in the world, but it was a braid (and I could only do it with my left hand). P.S. Actually, I just did it again! My hair has to be in a ponytail so that it's gathered in one place. Then I can use my left hand to separate my hair into three sections and use my fingers to fold them over into a braid. It still works. I think that's da bomb.

It's a weird talent, but it's been a fun one for as long as I can remember.

I'm left handed. I was in grammar school during the 50's. I guess the time for forcing right handedness, had past. There was on effort made to call attention it. But, I remember a day, in 3rd grade, when I decided that I couldn't hold pens/pencils "overhand," anymore. Any page on which I was writing was messy, because my hand would pick up what was already written and transfer it. It also made the outside edge of my hand covered with ink or lead. I wasn't going through life with a dirty hand. So, I taught myself to write underhand. Now, when I see a leftie writing overhand, I want to grab the hand and slap it. "No! Bad!"

Hebrew is written from right to left. Right-handed people don't write overhand to do it. You had a really good idea.

Right-handed, but there are 1 or 2 things I use the left hand for.

If I didn't mention this yet, right-handed people seem to be left-footed (and vice versa). Surfers who are right-handed lead with their left foot on the surf board, usually. People who lead with their right foot on a surf board are called "goofy foots" (and they are usually left-handed). I knew a guy who was forced to be right-handed as a kid, but he was a still a "goofy foot" as a surfer.
