I'm degraded far more by theophobiacs.
They repeatedly tell me I'm inferior to them based on my beliefs.
I would need therapy if not for their miniscule numbers and constant inaccuracies...
On the plus side, there's no reason to fear them and they have noting so nothing to be dependent on.
Now I just have to join up with a religion that makes me scared and addicted.

If you stay with me, you're still a bad person - nothing can ever stop you from being bad, not even me. It's just that if you stay with me, and constantly strive to please me, I'll forgive you for the evil within you that you can do nothing about. Notice that this means that you can never leave me, even if you want to? Because without my forgiveness, you will ultimately be punished. |

They think Christians should lose custody of their kids for child abuse simply because they are Christians and raise their children in the same faith. Funny I don't hear anybody ever suggesting that about Muslims whose religion believes it's okay to stone rape victims to death because they don't view rape as any different than a consensual affair that shames their family. |

Like that time you said Christians in the west are jealous of Saudi Arabians because they don't get to put gay people to death like the Saudis do. Or the time you said that Ada's bitchiness was "an advertisement for atheism".

I've been a Christian for over 30 years and I never once felt or thought that way. The Christianity I believe in teaches that God loves everyone and that we are valuable and beautiful. All of us are imperfect, but God offers forgiveness and mercy. There is no fear or degradation for me.

Some denominations are a little more laid back with things like going to hell and original sin these days. There may be some that don't go there at all even, but I'm not aware of any if they exist. |
