Another big name in juvenile horror...and another one whose writing I can't stand. I've read a few of his books, the only one I actually liked was Whisper of Death, I've read a few others, just don't care for it or the stupid teen girls he writes. And what is it with this guy and milk and doughnuts? Seems to come up in about every book I've read. Road to Nowhere, out of the few I've read so far, ultimate did not care for, but was determined to read it clear through to see where it went. We know it's a requirement in horror that teenagers are not too smart, especially girls, but Teresa should really have been putting 2 and 2 together listening to Jack and Poppy Corn talk about John and Candy. All of this said, I still have a small pile of his other YA books from the 90s I'm determined to read just to see if it gets any better anywhere, but so far I haven't seen anything promising.

I've read Fall Into Darkness and the first book in the Remember Me series, but it's been so long ago that I barely remember whether they were good or not. Are either of them in your pile?

I owned everything of his when I was younger, but the 6th book in The Last Vampire ended the affair.
As an adult, I've revisited several of the books. His adult novels Season of Passage and The Listeners are worth a read, as is The Midnight club. They rest do not hold up nearly as well, unfortunately.

Love Pike. Still breeze through one of his YA novels on a random Sunday afternoon, and they're fun and ridiculous and full of sex and drugs and murder. Awesome.
In particular, though, I would recommend the adult novels like matthewkeen said. In addition to what was mentioned, I would suggest The Blind Mirror, Falling, and Sati. All three are brisk, awesome beach reads that you'll rip through like a bag of potato chips.

Last Act & Remember Me are my favorite of his young adult novels. I however do not like the sequels to Remember me because I feel they kind of ruined the book for me. I don't like his YA vampire novels.

The sequels to Remember Me are some of the most pointless books.
