Its most likely the rumor that studios execs weren't impress with Justice League cut is true and now they're in damage control right now because they know Justice League will hurt them pretty bad so they are looking for a new way out. And how else to do it? Reboots. Recasts. Multiverses. Considering the Flash movie will apparently be Flashpoint, it kinda confirms they know the fucked too many times and trying to undo it all.

Nope, it's because WB is confident enough in their products to expand to 2 cinematic universes - the DCEU and a DC Elseworlds universe. The critics and MCU fans have always tried to doubt WB but WB continues to be confident in their products.
1st, they kept saying WB couldn't create a shared universe with a team-up movie as the 2nd movie and had t do a bunch of solo movies like MCU did. But WB said "F U!" to the critics because WB knew that MCU's way wasn't the only way to create a shared universe and WB was confident that they could create a shared universe without doing a bunch of solo movies like MCU had to do. And WB proved they were right by creating shared universe their way instead of MCU's way. And the DCEU is the 1st cinematic universe to gross over $3 billion with their 1st 4 movies. No other cinematic universe has ever started off with as much success as the DCEU has in their first 4 movies.
2nd, although no one had made a female-led superhero movie in over a decade and even MCU had been scared to make a female-led superhero for 9 years, WB was confident that not only could they make a great female-led superhero movie but also they could do it with a female director even though only 1 previous CBM had ever been directed by a woman and that had a budget of only $35 million and grossed only $10 million. But WB was confident they could do it and once again they proved they were right.
Now, WB is confident enough in their products that they can create and operate a 2nd cinematic universe and have 2 successful cinematic universes at the same time.

Sure, keep telling yourself that. Doesn't really matter how much money they made, doesn't change the fact that besides Wonder Woman, the reviews have been moderate to shit for the other ones. They fucked up and know Justice League won't be great, so they're doing everything to unwrite it all so they don't have to continue their own cinematic universe. You never did answer my question. You keep using the Top 50 on RottenTomatos to make your case that Wonder Woman is the greatest superhero film ever. Fair enough. But Man of Steel, BvS or Suicide Squad aren't on that list, yet every MCU film is on that list, so all the MCU films are better than them, right?? Remember, you can't pick and choose.

Matt Reeves Clarifies Whether The Batman Solo Movie Fits Into The DCEU Once again, I was right. When all the dumb MCU fans here were jumping up and down celebrating thinking that The Batman movie wasn't going to be part of the DCEU, I explained to the dumb MCU fans that: What Reeves is saying is his Batman movie wont be a shitty movie like Spider-Man: Homecoming, where Tony Stark is in the beginning, middle, and end of the movie, Iron Man rescues Spider-Man when Vulture dumps him in the water, Iron Man comes to the rescue on the ferry boat, Spider-Man uses AI-type suits given to him by Tony Stark rather than using his Spider-Sense, and Spider-Man basically becomes a supporting character in his own movie.
Instead, the Batman movie will be more like Wonder Woman, a stand-alone movie that doesn't have to rely on cameos from characters in other movies but is still a part of the DCEU.And now, Reeves has confirmed that he was indeed saying what I wrote yesterday.

What Reeves is saying is that he's too creatively bankrupt to think of a Batman story that could take place in a world of Superbeings while still focusing on Batman. Whereas Homecoming was able to do so with Spider-Man, Tony having a minor presence.

Unfortunately it seems all the more plausible, based off their actions and seemingly random decision-making. I'm just gonna ask the big question on everyone's minds (except DC fan): What's the damage gonna be? If they're doing all this three months ahead of its release, what are we in for?

Something that hopefully Thor Ragnarok will make up for.

I'm thinking it should be better than BvS and SS but lower than MoS. Or at best at the same level as MOS... which isn't really what you want with a movie as big as the Justice League.

Or Watchmen, since he's a big fan of Watchmen. Incidentally that's a team-up movie too and despite fan complaints, it did get decent reviews from mainstream critics though I think it was just that spillover from The Dark Knight a year before. It got me to thinking that if he can get decent reviews with a page-by-page adaptation of Watchmen, it does make me wonder what positivity a straight depiction of Superman could have earned Snyder. Granted, that's not his thing but a studio note would have solved that. Or just having Johns onboard from the start. But what do we know as forum loungers? That's why Goyer is paid ze big money.
