I can't imagine a better pairing than these two in the whole Thin Man series. I remember Loy's acting got her labeled as "the perfect wife," something she really disliked. The chemistry between these two is unparalleled. (She's good with Grant too, make no mistake, but this is by far the best pairing).

I've only seen The Great Ziegfeld and The Thin Man (only the first, none of the rest...yet). They were like the Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner of their time, appearing in movie after movie together.
