Lost in Austen. Merlin (the one with Sam Neill). The Pillars of the Earth.

Band of brothers John adams. Band of Brothers (likely my all-time favorite) Roots (the original) The Stand Great subject. May be back with more.

Merlin (the one with Sam Neill). Not enough "Hell Yeah" memes for acknowledging this response.

Band of brothers John adams. Is Penny Dreadful considered a mini-series? Dickensian.

I agree with Roots and Band of Brothers/The Pacific. I would add Generation Kill (another solid war series) and The Night Of (one of the most suspenseful anything I've ever watched).

Band of brothers John adams. Is Penny Dreadful considered a mini-series? Dickensian. No, because it was a regular series and had a total of 27 episodes.

Absolutely North & South Book I. Pride and Prejudice is also a favourite.

Absolutely North & South Book I. I've never heard of this but see it has Patrick Swayze. I might check it out, unless it tries to downplay the Confederacy's reason for going to war.

I think it's fairly balanced. But it's VERY heavy on the romance and pretty cheesy. It's nothing like Roots. But you might find the friendship between the two main characters interesting.
I can't believe you've never heard of it, though, it really gave a boost to Swayze's career!

Lonesome Dove Broken Trail Band of Brothers The Pacific John Adams - better than I expected. Centennial - the early episodes are good, but the later ones tend to be less interesting.
I'm currently watching Manhunt: Unabomber each week. I didn't plan to watch it, but I became engrossed in the story.
