Matt Reeves Clarifies Whether The Batman Solo Movie Fits Into The DCEU Once again, I was right. When all the dumb MCU fans here were jumping up and down celebrating thinking that The Batman movie wasn't going to be part of the DCEU, I explained to the dumb MCU fans that: What Reeves is saying is his Batman movie wont be a shitty movie like Spider-Man: Homecoming, where Tony Stark is in the beginning, middle, and end of the movie, Iron Man rescues Spider-Man when Vulture dumps him in the water, Iron Man comes to the rescue on the ferry boat, Spider-Man uses AI-type suits given to him by Tony Stark rather than using his Spider-Sense, and Spider-Man basically becomes a supporting character in his own movie.
Instead, the Batman movie will be more like Wonder Woman, a stand-alone movie that doesn't have to rely on cameos from characters in other movies but is still a part of the DCEU.And now, Reeves has confirmed that he was indeed saying what I wrote yesterday.

So who's gonna be elected president in 2020? What's your crystal ball say about that?

Actually, you're still wrong, DC-Fan. You see, even when you're right, you're still wrong. Its that simple.

Nobody was "celebrating". It was the big news it was because nobody wanted it to be true.

Some of your fiercest fans mobby-dicking you may now go home and rethink their lives.

well, if you look at the facts and threads empirically (it's all well documented) there were the following factions: - Several false-triumph threads created by the usual suspects gloating, proclaiming and celebrating the alleged demise and even rebooting of the DCEU. - Then there was the more intellectual faction pondering what the statements could mean, and how a DC Multiverse approach could work (eg with a Bat-verse), in the end many welcoming it. - And the remaining third were just confused, shaking their heads or just did not freaking care. Thus, the statements: "Nobody was celebrating" and "nobody wanted it to be true" are incorrect probably rather reflecting your personal mindset that the sociological forum realities. QED

What Reeves is saying is that he's too creatively bankrupt to think of a Batman story that could take place in a world of Superbeings while still focusing on Batman. Whereas Homecoming was able to do so with Spider-Man, Tony having a minor presence.

They don't if you block them... well, the trolls on the Marvel and DC boards are down to a blockable level. There's no salvaging the Star Wars boards.

You simply can't make this stuff up, you just can't Well, it's been a tough summer for MCU fans, with SMH not only being a huge flop but also completely destroying MCU's continuity with their "8 Years Later" fuck-up. So it's not surprising that were overjoyed at what they perceived to be bad news for DCEU, even if it wasn't true.

Was it what analysis initially thought it'd make? No, but it still broke $700miil, which is still damn good, especially considering this is the 2nd Spider-Man reboot in a 10-year span. It even beat War of the Planet of the Apes, which was projected to be the biggest hit because word of mouth was calling it one of the greatest films ever. And the 8years isn't a mistake btw.

There's no salvaging the Star Wars boards. But you can't fully block them. All blocking does is put a filter on to where you can decide if you want to see their post. So unfortunately blocking does nothing because you know they still made a post.

I personally don't really care if there is a timeline faux pas. But one problem with the timeline you have provided. In Winter Soldier, Jasper Sitwell when interrogated and asked who Insight's targets will be says: Unless he has some form of vision of the future why would a brain surgeon be a threat to Hydra if he won't be Sorcerer Supreme for another 3 years?

Well he said that Zola's algorithm calculates people's past and predicts their future. I mean how else would they know that a high school valedictorian would be a threat to Hydra?

Because the algorithm formulates anyone who could be a threat in the future. Even without being a sorcerer his medical skills were still enough to get him on the list.
