Whole Foods, if I never had to think about prices (I don't hold out hope for Amazon changing that). We have two giant ones in Austin.
I need a combo, but I'm lucky that I could make a short loop through all of these quickly:
HEB, Costco, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and a couple of natural food stores, Sprouts and Natural Grocer get me everything I want or need, along with local farmers markets. Central Market (basically a big HEB premium), also.
Fairway in NJ and Wegman's in Mass are very good.

I remember them in the Chicagoland area (western suburbs). Back when they were in operation they carried the now defunct cereal Quisp after it was gone for decades from other grocery stores. I much preferred Quisp.

Yes, Whole Foods is another good one. We have one that's a ten minute walk away. The so-called price reduction is a joke. A few items with orange tags marked down.

publix is awesome in the south. great deli subs, and awesome fried chicken.
ralph's deli is 3/4th as good, and it works for me out here.

I remember them in the Chicagoland area (western suburbs). Back when they were in operation they carried the now defunct cereal Quisp after it was gone for decades from other grocery stores. i hate when certain foods are only in certain areas. I did not know Post still made waffle crisp cereal or that schweppes brand ginger ale still made their Raspberry Ginger ale I have not seen waffle crisp since 2003 or schweppes raspberry ginger ale since 1994 I just moved from Tacoma Washington to An area in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. both of those are on store shelves here Plus coca-Cola's soda "Pibb xtra" is not sold on shelves here or the area i grew up in In southern California due to the fact Coca-cola is responsible for bottling dr. pepper in these areas. But its out there in Tacoma. it's just stupid

Several months ago our local King Soopers brought back Chocolate Eclairs from Good Humour. Which I haven't had in years. Decades on a regular basis. WOW. its ridiculous how some foods are only in select areas. i dont mind missing out on the pibb xtra since dr. pepper is better but i just find it odd that the food companies do this. I posted about finding the waffle crisp to a fb page i admin and another person shared it on their page and there's a lot of mixed messages in the comments on the other page's share. Some people are saying "It never went away" while the guy who shared it keeps saying that just like me he hasn't seen it in over a decade. it just makes no sense to me why the food industry does this I mean it's one thing if something is locally produced and not owned by a major corporation like Herrs chips and A-treat soda that we have here. but for a post cereal, a coca-cola soda and a good humor ice cream, it makes no sense.

My BIGGEST pet-peeve IS Pepperidge Farm DISCONTINUING their Nassau Cookies. never heard of those, lol. my biggest pet peeve is surge's return. It does not taste the same because they changed the preservatives in it! Coca-cola keeps saying it doesn't affect the taste. NO it just doesn't affect the ingredient "natural flavors". chemicals always affect the taste and switching which preservatives are in the soda. the over all outcome, it does not taste the same.

Publix, I love their deli subs, pies, and cakes.
Winn Dixie is okay. Haven't really shop there in years. I loved their Chex grape sodas. That was my favorite.
I also like Aldi. Get nice things at a good price.

I almost never carry cash on me, and if i do, it's usually dollar bills, not coins

Present-Kroger and SaveยทaยทLot
Past-as a kid I loved going with my mom to Cub's. It was so big and the produce section always smelled so good. They are all gone in my area now.
And Don's SuperValue-while my mom shopped I read comic books off the spinner racks in an out of the way cubbyhole magazine section.
Fulmer's-Mom shopped, I browsed beaten, rumpled empty VHS boxes along the wall where you first walked in. They had a lot if horror. Anyone remember back when you could rent VHS tapes from grocery stores?
And for a quarter get a "prize" from a plastic chicken egg? Slime or a Super Bounce Ball was the best. Great times back then.
When I was very very young, all the grocery stores had mechanicalhorses or airplanes you could ride for a quarter.

I just moved to Pennsylvania after living in Washington state for since 2007.
I miss Stater Bros. but that's an independent chain only in southern California. That would be my favorite grocery store
But here in PA, I really like this store called Redner's
