Chalice_Of_Evil Since you sort of brought it up : "... as everybody else was posting really young photos of celebs, whereas the ones I was posting weren't quite so young."
The theme for the thread is "when they were young" and originally was intended to be images of well knowns from the "olden days" as they looked before we knew them on the screen - with some more recent "knowns" thrown in for variety.
The lovely ladies you are posting terrific images of are not "classic actors" and many are of how they look now.. The photos of current actors are fine if they are childhood pictures but the "as they are now" images really would do better in another "album" (imo). As mentioned earlier, I have no idea who some of these people are because they are so far out of my idea of "classic" ... but perhaps that's just me !
Hopefully this will not discourage participation in this thread, it was just to clarify the intent. Apologies, BATouttaheck, I know this isn't what you're after. I'll just post this one more, and then I'll be out of your hair. Jessica Chastain.

Chalice_Of_Evil re: I'll just post this one more, and then I'll be out of your hair.
Hopefully you will continue to post in the threads. As I said : "Hopefully this will not discourage participation in this thread, it was just to clarify the intent. No "removal from hair requested or required.

alfromni Nice collection of images again ... thanks ! BUT .... would you mind just editing that post and say who is in the pictures ? ... perhaps under spoilers so that we can guess and get immediate feedback ? A "guess who" might be an idea for a new thread ?" Come to think of it, there used to be such a game over on the games and trivia board and it might still be there.

Maggie Smith was pretty cute. Not that the Dowager Countess isn't still stunning.

The late Joan Leslie (1925-2015), then known as Joan Brodel, baking at age 12. The photo comes from a 1937 newspaper article. Her film career had technically already begun a year earlier, with a brief role in Camille, but she was yet to become a household name during the WW2 era. Emmy Award-winning actress and long-time wife of the voice of Knight Rider William Daniels, Bonnie Bartlett, at the age of 16. This one comes from an Illinoisan newspaper back in 1946. The late heiress and actress Dina Merrill (1923-2017) at age six. This was published in West Palm Beach, a newspaper from Florida, in 1930. If you've ever seen the laughtrack-less hospital sitcom Scrubs, then you might be interested to know what Dr. Bob Kelso looked like in his youth. Here is a picture of Ken Jenkins from 1965. He was 24 years old at the time.
