Mutants. You forget there are mutants like Forge who's whole ability is technology. Not according to the filmmakers. Until it's in the movies... You can go all "What I meant was...", but until it's in the movies it's a non-thing.

Perhaps it's all a smokescreen for the debut of Mojo! Which seems unlikely but kind of awesome if it happened. Fox will and never have the balls to do that and you know it. I can see them doing it eventually. Once they burn through popular vilians they'll do Mojo. Mad respect if they end the franchise with him!

Speculation is all fine and dandy, but when you get into the realm of saying what is suppose to be in the movie, but isn't, that's a different can of worms. When I say there are mutants out there like Forge, that's only a possibility. When you guys say the suit and the machine is alien when it isn't in the movie (with no proof but the director saying "What I meant was...") you guys are adding "headcanon".

No, headcanon is an interpretation of a fictional work that isn't by the creator.

So wouldn't that be the same thing as a creator not putting in what he meant to put in, but saying that's what he meant to put in if he could?

So wouldn't that be the same thing as a creator not putting in what he meant to put in, but saying that's what he meant to put in if he could? No. Because they are the creators. So it's offical canon until proven otherwise. But it isn't documented by the movie itself. That's why the special editions of Star Wars are the official canon of the movies. But then at the same time you have alternate cuts of movies that aren't official like Superman 2: Donner Cut, BvS: Ultimate Edition, DoFP: The Rogue Cut, etc. Having things like Ship in X-men Apocalypse concept artwork does not mean the movie itself has aliens or alien technology in it. Singer saying he got the armor from aliens, but we couldn't find a place to put it in the movie, means that it's not a thing in the movies... Now, if they put it in Dark Phoenix that Apocalypse had alien armor, then it gets retro'd in. That's one of the advantages of having a series of movies. You can add in later what you couldn't before. But the X-men movies have this tendency to just move on when the movie makers say they couldn't add something in.
