And it is absolute garbage. The plot is rushed, and the pacing is a mess, it starts off slow, then picks up, then goes slow again and then picks up in roughly the final 30 minutes, but the final battle just goes too quickly, they beat the big bad, in what, 10 minutes at minimum? Oh yeah, that and the characterisation is rather WTF at times. And there's always a handy spot the new scene reference (Sue Storm's hairstyle changes between every. single. scene), but the first time they discover they have their new powers is pretty good, as it shows the pain they are in, but, it's a pity the rest of the film was crap, and all because Josh Trank acted like a buffoon on set. That said, I would have liked to have seen Trank's version before the studio interfered because he was acting incredibly unprofessional, because the end result, just an absolute poorly paced, thinly plotted mess. Marvel should have gotten the rights back.
Overall thoughts: 1/10. Poorly paced, thinly written and by-the-numbers. Give this a miss unless you have nothing else to watch.

idk, sounds like your average formula-driven MCU movie. What makes this one so different and terrible then?

I'm sorry. Unfortunately I don't think Netflix can give you that time back. On your death bed, wishing you had just a few more hours, you'll remember having watched this dumpster fire and shed a single tear as you exhale one last time.

It isn't as bad as all that imo.
Yes, it's bad but I think it's watchable. I atually think the cast is alright and I think it has some good moments here and there. It is an absolute mess though.
4.5/10

I liked the first adaptation - up to a point. It seemed like there was zero reason to reboot this so quickly, and I've heard nothing but terrible reviews. Almost makes me curious enough to actually watch it for the lolz.

Josh Trank never had a finished version. The film was taken away from him well before then. In any event, I have to disagree with wanting to see his "vision" of the film.

Almost makes me curious enough to actually watch it for the lolz. They HAD TO do it to keep the cinematic rights of the fantastic four. And this movie is like watching two gils and a cup, once you've seen it you cannot unsee it

Luckily Michael B. Jordan will now be in a much better Marvel movie. Marvel Studios, saving actors' careers who've played the Human Torch since 2011.

I don't think we deserve whatever vision Trank had after the comments he made about comic book fans. Because calling comic book fans "a bunch of basement dwellings virgins" is the right way to go about talking about a massive fanbase. <sarcasm.

idk, sounds like your average formula-driven MCU movie. What makes this one so different and terrible then? Because it fails at EVERYTHING. I've never seen a film with $100 million+ budget that doesn't get a single thing right. Seriously, even 'The Last Airbender' got something right (James Newton Howard's score) and that's saying something.
