It should have been called Flatliners: the Next Generation or something. Too many people are going into this thinking it's a remake already. Same thing happened with The Thing prequel. Agreed. Something should have indicated that it's a sequel. According to the Wikipedia page it is a sequel . Flatliners (2017 film) FLATLINERS - Official Trailer (HD) This film certainly looks eerie too perhaps I may go see this one .

As long as the reviews aren't absolutely terrible (I don't expect them to be):
It Mother!
Maybe:
American Assassin Battle of the Sexes Kingsman: The Golden Circle Flatliners

It seemed like it shouldn't have worked with what they were doing - but oh, it did! for me it was simply jaw-dropping kind of good. I loved every minute of it. I am a big fan of Matthew Vaughn movies overall, and was worried he would stay away from doing a sequel (like he did with Kick Ass) and the sequel would be made by someone else and was inferior (like Kick Ass 2 was) so I was SO PSYCHED he decided to make Kingsman2 (and apparently 3) himself! Cannot wait to see what he did with it.

The only movie I plan to see in theaters in September is Kingsman. Is anyone here looking forward to any others? I'm not sure just yet what I will being seeing in September - still planning that one out here . However I will be going to my local Drive-In this weekend to check out a retro double feature . The 3 setup choices for these are - 1. The Karate Kid (1984) with E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) 2. Poltergeist (1982) with Alien (1979) 3. Jaws (1975) with Airplane! (1980) I'm really leaning towards choices 1. or 2. mostly but still deciding on which one to choose here ( oh well no problem I will figure it out I still have time ) . Also enjoy your movie choice at the theater this September too taylorfirst1 . Thanks so much taylorfirst1 for your subject post . You have a drive in in your area? That's great! I didn't know there were any left. I've never been to one. Those are great choices. I think I like #1 the best but you can't go wrong with any of them.

I think I speak for the entire forum when I say that we demand a full report of your drive in experience. Ok I'm just kidding, but I would like to know how you enjoyed the drive in and which choice you ended up picking

BTW - I hope everyone is having an excellent vacation weekend also . Even though I have all of these movie selections on DVD I actually went with choice 2 - Poltergeist & Alien . I remembered not getting to see these films back on the big screen in 1979 & 1982 . So why not now ? It was the best time now to see it and it was really a lot of fun to view it this way also ( in your own automobile with the set radio station provided like your own personal indoor / outdoor / cinema / theater too ? ) . A very different experience indeed and even funnier knowing certain scenes and dialogues of these movies by heart too . As for the status of our wonderful Drive-Ins jayhn1111 sadly in the USA there are only 400 of these left in existence it used to be our country had well over 1,000 but not anymore . So I'm actually very glad & so lucky to have one in my area that has been open since the mid 1950's . I find that to be an extremely impressive track record and a miracle for it too . I will most definitely be checking out the movie schedule again on-line to see what else they will be showing for more retro / throwback movies there too . Thanks so much again jayhn1111 for your interests in my drive-in movie experiences and for your awesome replies here as always too .

That's so cool mszanadu thanks so much for sharing that. I've never been to one so all I know is from scenes in movies where people are at drive ins. Sounds like a great experience so it's good you're taking advantage of it while you can. Maybe I'll look up to see which is the closest one to my area. It would be great to view some classic movies in that format.

If you do you will be in for a real fun treat ( especially like you mentioned here that you have never been to one before ) . Again thanks so much for your reply .

I don 't see any in Long Island, but there's some in the surrounding states. So maybe if I go on vacation somewhere near one of those I'll check it out.
