This being such a foreign concept probably explains a lot of the over-invested rage. How was your Labor Day weekend, Cine?

this is not a poem it's hard expressing myself outside the kingdom of the heart. when people actually vote to eject hundreds of thousands of human beings for nothing more than skin tone. or send drones over strangers homes hoping to cover the bones from their latest attempt at synchronized skimming. when pursing happiness morphed into repeated platitudes being used as door mats. this is not as poem or a call to the wild roaming. it is however a well thought out warning: setting a planet on fire is not a value to be desired. sjw 09/05/17 inspired at this very moment in time by the crucibles distinguished in the kingdom of the heart. from the 'benevolent series' of poems While your not-poem has left me speechless, I must say your new avatar is clever, but I do miss the enraged little boy!

We took the kid to share an Air BnB in St Louis with some of the wife's family. Visited the City Museum (awesome) and Grant's Farm (less so, but the beer is free... but then it's Busch beer so... y'know). Fun trip but MAN was St. Louis humid and hot. You?

Ahh, welcome to Missouri's humidity! I was on the other side of the state, actually laboring over the weekend, pet-sitting for a friend who went on a trail ride. I had vicarious fun, knowing how much fun she was having, and I did get to raid her liquor cabinet! And, I was still bottle-feeding my kittens, and that is always fun for me. Are you old enough to remember Coors runs? That was a thing when I was in college...

So you are just a youngster; I'm 63. I was never much of a beer drinker; my first boyfriend liked chugging pitchers and I was never fond of the aftermath. But when I discovered gin and tonic, it all became clear to me! (Pun intended)

Huh, I thought drinking lowered blood pressure... and since one of his eyes shows signs of pressure... okay, he shouldn't try drinking. I thought drinking might make him a little more 'live and let live'... it always works for me!

I thought drinking might make him a little more 'live and let live'... it always works for me! No, no, no! Avoid alcohol if you have BP problems! 'Ware! 'Ware! No worries, my BP is 120/80, normal and uneventful. The alcohol just makes me a little more tolerant and a little more relaxed. Plus, it has medicinal qualities. It's rare that I get to re-tell this goofy old joke of my father's but this seems like an opportunity:
