UNFORGIVEN 1992 Worst good movie Movies that follow all the classic tropes feel redundant. Remakes that don't change anything relevant feel redundant. YURUSAREZARU MONO 2013 (UNFORGIVEN 2013) does both things, so it's annoyingly redundant. You see, UNFORGIVEN 1992 was a gritty and realistic take on a genre (western) that was for the most part light and fun. Since the samurai genre has always been for the most part serious, what's the point? The performances and the production quality aren't bad, but they're not good enough to save a movie that's as boring as visiting a grandparent who doesn't want to give you candies... or as visiting a greatgrandparent who does want to give you candies. It's all a trick to get near, squeeze your cheeks and tell you stories. 1/10 ------------------------------------- You can read comments of other movies in my blog (in English, in Spanish or in Italian).

I am unable to take you seriously at this point. You also contradicted yourself when you said Unforgiven is light and fun and then you go on to say that it is boring.
Unforgiven is an excellent movie.

Since when is there an "Unforgiven" franchise? I've never heard of it having any sequels.

What remake? (Looks it up) Oh, it had a Japanese remake. Gotta say, not a lot of people are going to know that.

moviemouthExactly. ...and not only that, but then he then gives it a 1/10. so clearly he does not find it fun. because something 'fun' can't bad THAT bad in score. p.s. hell, i think it's pretty rare a movie is THAT bad (i.e. as in 1/10) as my typical bottom-of-the-barrel score is a 2/10 which is what i give to movies that are TRULY boring as i never understood why some people say 'boring' in relation to a movie but they don't actually mean boring as when i say boring i actually mean exactly that as movies i find boring i basically cannot finish watching them (or rarely finish etc) and turn them off and then they default to my 2/10 score as i reserve 1/10's for movies that stand out in a negative way for me which barely any movies managed to reach that status. NOTE: but then again i would find it easier to give out more 1/10's than 10/10's if i had to choose between those two ratings for sure as there are much more movies i could give those really low scores (say 1-2/10 vs 9-10/10) than the really high ones.

Am I the only person that understood the OP was comparing two separate movies, an original and its remake? Yes? Okay.
Anyway, the point of remaking Unforgiven with Ken Watanabe I imagine was the same point of remaking Yojimbo with Clint Eastwood. Only this time, it was the Japanese that copied Eastwood instead of the other way around. My only problem was that there was too much gun action as opposed to samurai action.

then gives it a 1/10. so clearly he does not find it fun. I gave the remake a 1. I used "fun" to describe the genre in general, not any of the UNFORGIVEN movies.
