Thursday night, baby. Finally. Which games are you most hyped for, from a neutral perspective or your own?
Chiefs at Patriots
Falcons at Bears Steelers at Browns Jaguars at Texans Ravens at Bengals Eagles at Redskins Jets at Bills Raiders at Titans Cardinals at Lions Colts at Rams Seahawks at Packers Panthers at 49ers Giants at Cowboys
Saints at Vikings Chargers at Broncos
A lot of reasons to be excited here, chiefly because football is back. KC/NE is a great kickoff matchup with the defending champions and a Chiefs team with several exciting elements. I'm pretty sure Mahomes won't be starting but Tyreek Hill is electrifying, and we get to see the Patriots machine really get going after a 1-3 preseason.
I'd say Colts/Rams as a fan but with Tolzien under center you can pretty much pencil this one in as a loss, even against Jared Goff.
Falcons offense hasn't looked impressive in preseason but they're stacked with weapons and are up against a pretty bad Bears team (guessing Glennon is the starter too).
Vikes/Saints - AP returns to Minnesota.
Bucs have a lot of expectations this year so I'm intrigued by how they start offensively against Miami.
Myles Garrett's NFL debut; think he sacks Big Ben?
Shanahan's first real game with SF... Seattle/GB is always fun...
What about you?

These threads were fun last year because almost every week I'd say something along the lines of "this game and that game could be fun" and jimanchower would dismiss the whole thread with "uh, those games are all pretty crappy dude."

Not really interested this year. I'm already resigned to my Cowboys going backwards. Maybe in about 8 or 9 weeks when the season's taken shape I'll be more invested.

Probably Giants/Cowboys. Not just because the Giants are playing but I am interested to see if Dallas performs as well as last seasons regular season run. Do they dominate? Do they go about equal to last years quality? Or is their opening game a brain fart and they get stomped as the usual idiots at ESPN HQ start hitting the panic button and whining for Romo to come back? Also, that Jaguars/Texans game. Good idea for the schedulers to put this one on during week 1. I can't imagine this game pulling in the ratings By December

Every week the only game I really care about is the Dolphins. (Well, and whoever needs to lose or win to help the Dolphins.)

Have they named a starter yet - is it Smith or Mahomes? It's final cutdown day too - rosters need to be trimmed to 53 by 4:00pm. Curious to see who's out there - Cruz was just cut by the Bears......savvy vet. Guess he's shot and done.

It'll definitely be Smith but the Mahomes stuff is gonna screw with him psychologically and create a weird locker room. Ware is out too. They'll do OK but I think it'll be tougher than they're used to. Very hard division to predict though.

Well, acquiring Jacoby Brissett gives the Colts a better option than Scott Tolzien, but I'm not sure if he'll be up to speed for the Rams game.
