If he were get cast as Joker, everyone including myself would want him in the DCEU. Let’s see what happens. He is one of my favorite actors right now, so this would actually be a blessing even though I don’t care for a Joker solo movie.

Eh, I don't know. Leo is too much. He's a great actor, but he's already accomplished.
I'd like to see Scorsese go after a little-known actor or some up-and-coming talent like Dan Stevens.

That would be cool. Really cool. But at the same time, he struck me as more suitable for Two-Face or The Riddler.

Stevens is a badass actor . plus he is way cheaper than Leo (who will probably want 25 million upfront plus gross points)

Hasn't Leo been approached with similar projects before and he always turned it down. It will take a lot of convincing to have him play the Joker, but everyone has a price.

I'd think Christian Slater would be an excellent choice.

Jared Leto is "displeased" at this latest development, according to reports.

Jared Leto is "displeased" at this latest development, according to reports. Well, no actor likes to lose work.

This is why this DC Elseworlds is a good idea. I've said before that not everything needs to be or even should be connected together, like MCU tried to do with the TV shows and movies and failed at.
When you try to force everything to connect together, that's when you lose talented Directors like Patty Jenkins and Edgar Wright and you end up with duds like Thor: The Dark World and Ant-Man. When you're willing to give Directors creative freedom to make movies without forcing them to connect to something else, that's when you get great classics like The Dark Knight trilogy.
For all the idiots who say they want all the movies connected, would they rather get movies like Thor: The Dark World and Ant-Man that are connected but are huge bombs because they refused to give talented Directors like Patty Jenkins and Edgar Wright the creative freedom to make better movies or would they rather get movies like The Dark Knight trilogy that is a great classic because WB was willing to give the Director creative freedom and not force-fit those movies to connect to something else?

Hey jackass, even WB is guilty of the same thing. Michelle MacLaren left Wonder Woman, and The Flash lost not one, but TWO directors, and they all left because you guessed it, creative differences. Also if Marvel doesn't allow creative freedom, then how come the Russo Bros. have all the freedom they want? James Gunn? Also I'm sure Ryan Coogler and Taika Watiti wouldn't sign on to do Marvel projects if they weren't getting creative freedom.

I honestly have no interest in a Joker solo film, however if they cast Leo as Joker I think I'd be compelled to watch it just out of pure curiosity of it all. That is unless the trailers look like shit and then I'd just skip it.

Terrible Idea,Johnny Depp or Jake Gyleenhaal or Crispin Glover would be better. I ll admit hes better than RDJ,but overall as an actor hes not that good.

Probably because you are thinking of the character as the Joker. Isn't it suppose to be a Joker origin story? I'm guessing most of the movie would be before he becomes the Joker. Think Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight.

He's too beta for the Joker. DiCaprio is shoehorned into alpha parts he is ill-suited for.
I can see now what the corporate are doing-Ridley Scott returns to ALIEN, Ron Howard directing a Han Solo movie, Scorcese involved in a Joker movie. So they think by bringing in these older directors associated with non-franchise films they can boost the marketability.

Oh, shut up with your Darwinistic Alpha and Beta labels for people! We're not wolf packs! Put Errol Flynn or Shirley Eaton in their prime next to DiCaprio or Jennifer Lawrence in there's and biology will show the truth. Humans are animals and we are subject to Nature no matter how many people think they can change their gender by altering pronoun usage.
