I watched both "Ingrid Goes West" and "Wind River" back to back and she is absolutely wonderful in both roles and seeing both films back to back shows how versatile she is, as both roles and performances were nothing alike. She is amazing in both films, and shines in every scene she is in and steals the focus away from every other actor, but especially in "Ingrid Goes West", where she literally glows throughout the film and you cant help but look at her no matter what is going on in the scene. Taylor Sloane can be annoying, but that is the way the character is, and she plays amazing opposite Aubrey Plaza. Everything that comes out of her mouth is believable and you always see everything the character is thinking or feeling through her eyes or body movements.
I would be okay with her getting an Oscar nom for Wind River, as she was brilliant here also, but Ingrid Goes West is more of a showcase for her in my opinion. Give her a Supporting (yes I nominate her as Supporting, not Lead) for Ingrid Goes West.
Taylor Sloane is a character that could be very cliche and one dimensional if the wrong actress was cast. Lizzy Olsen brings depth and layers to this character with the way she portrays her, from her movements down to the way she delivers lines. A very authentic performance for the preppy California hot blonde chick.
