If they get their shit together, I'm more than open to a multiverse shared-cinematic-universe. Like we have the main DCEU label, then these Elseworlds titles they seem to lean towards, Earth-Two, etc. If played right, it would prove longer lasting than the MCU. Granted this is all speculative and way up in the air beyond the roof of God's house at the moment.

Kingdom and Red Son would better fit into a separate multiverse bubble, story wise. We already have a multiverse with the Arrowverse, DCAU, DCEU, with several Supes, Flashes etc.
So if it makes artistic sense a Multiverse on the Cinematic level would only be consequential, eg a Bat-verse with a Detective Bats and different Joker, Robin etc and different tone and look not compliant with the gritty DCEU. That would provide for great artistic and creative variety and show the core strengths of the DC characters: their versatility.

Terrible ideas be damned. If we get Kingdom Come, who gives a shit what the general DCEU landscape looks like. Maybe this was the right move all along. Separate stories. No limitations. Just giving the people what they want. And we want Kingdom Come and Red Son goddammit. A multiverse would be awesome... if the point was having a multiverse. If they are just making random movies then it isn't a multiverse. It's random movies. If they have 2 different Supermen in the movies, then down the line the 2 Supermen cross universes, that would make it a multiverse. If they mention the word "multiverse" in the movies then it would be a multiverse. If the creators are just saying it's a multiverse and not doing anything about it in their movies, then it is not a multiverse. It's them trying to make a cinematic universe where there is none to appease fans. And if you guys believe it is a multiverse just on their word, then you are gullible. It's the same as with the MCU and Dr. Strange. There was no multiverse in the MCU until they said it in that movie. But on that note, if they ever made a Crisis on Infinite Earths movie, I'm there.

I've said before that not everything needs to be or even should be connected together, like MCU tried to do with the TV shows and movies and failed at.
When you try to force everything to connect together, that's when you lose talented Directors like Patty Jenkins and Edgar Wright and you end up with duds like Thor: The Dark World and Ant-Man. When you're willing to give Directors creative freedom to make movies without forcing them to connect to something else, that's when you get great classics like The Dark Knight trilogy.
For all the idiots who say they want all the movies connected, would they rather get movies like Thor: The Dark World and Ant-Man that are connected but are huge bombs because they refused to give talented Directors like Patty Jenkins and Edgar Wright the creative freedom to make better movies or would they rather get movies like The Dark Knight trilogy that is a great classic because WB was willing to give the Director creative freedom and not force-fit those movies to connect to something else?

Yeah, and every MCU film is better than Man of Steel, Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad. Can't pick and choose with RottenTomatos.

There are rumours of 'Batman Beyond' happening which would have to be set as an 'elseworlds movie' so anything is possible. One Else Worlds story I would love to see (since it is no longer in the main universe) is a Linda Danvers/Supergirl movie and we almost got one back in the early 00s with Peter David writing the script but Peter David said the head of Warner Bros ended up turning it down 'cause they didn't want an edgier Supergirl than Superman on screen at the time. Now things have changed and they basically copied the darker tone of some of the Supergirl (2003-2011) comics for 'Man of Steel' they should give us the Linda Danvers/Earth Born Angel of Fire movie!!!
