As most 'Buffy' fans would remember the show had a lot of artists and bands played in and appeared in episodes of the show including Michelle Branch, Angie Hart (Frente!, Splendid) and Four Star Mary (as Dingoes Ate My Baby) and I was just wondering what were some of your favourite songs from 'Buffy?' Some of mine were
Bif Naked – Lucky Four Star Mary – Fate K’s Choice – Virgin State Of Mind Splendid – Charge Michelle Branch – Goodbye to You Four Star Mary – Shadows Nickel – Stupid Thing Heather Nova – It’s Only Love Aimee Mann – Pavlov’s Bell The Sundays – Wild Horses Sarah McLachlan – Full of Grace Angie Hart – Blue Luscious Jackson – Ladyfingers
And although none of their songs were performed on the show did anybody notice the posters in Sunnydale for Whiskeytown’s (Ryan Adams’ first band) ‘Strangers Almanac’ album? It looks like Joss or somebody else must have been a fan and I am surprised they never tried to get Ryan Adams on the show. As a side question has anybody heard James Marsters' band, Ghost of the Robot and Adam Busch's band, Common Rotation?

I really liked how the song "It's Only Love" was used in the episode "Touched" from season 7.

I loved that first Buffy soundtrack. Some really good songs on it. Black Lab's Keep Myself Awake is a personal favorite.
But mostly, I loved how the show introduced me to some new bands.
Four Star Mary (Dingoes) Cibo Matto Far THC
And over on Angel, we had Darling Violetta and VAST.
Their albums had even better songs.
One of the things I missed about the show post-season 3 was just how little they visited The Bronze.

Spike singing "My Way" at the end of the episode "Lovers Walk" was so funny and opposite to how the Scooby gang was feeling.

I can't forget about Faith listening to "Sunday Mail" by Spectator Pump in "Graduation Day".

I’ll forever be grateful to Buffy the Vampire Slayer for introducing me to two songs in particular.
First would be Third Eye Blind’s ‘The Background’, which was used during the Buffy/Angel dream sequence in Season 3’s ‘Faith, Hope & Trick’. Not only was this my favourite dream sequence out of all the ones we’d gotten in the first three episodes of the season, but I just thought the opening of this song set the mood perfectly.
I mean, the look of the Buffy/Angel dream sequence in the first episode of the season (‘Anne’) was nice with them on the beach, everything all sunny and the two of them looked great together, but I just liked how Buffy’s guilt over what she had to do to Angel was what began this third episode of the season and it led to the great scene later on where she confessed to Giles what really happened, and then the end of the episode with her placing the Claddagh ring on the ground and seemingly ‘moving past’ what had happened...only for what seemed like the end to turn out *not* to in fact be the end of episode (that was the first time I could recall the show ever having that sort of ‘fake-out’ for lack of a better term).
I also liked how the gang were just there, sitting at the Bronze, watching Buffy/Angel. It’s what the show did best – combined drama, comedy and a little bit of ‘horror’ (with Angel’s decayed face after he told Buffy to “Go to Hell!” and then said with an evil smirk, “I did.” – I always remember it being noticeable, at least to me, how DB put the emphasis in that two word line on ‘did’ instead of ‘I’. Whereas typically I’d have thought he’d say “I did.” – Anyway, it was just something I always noticed whenever watching the episode. There were instances throughout the show where I thought the actors gave interesting/’unexpected’ line readings which I thought made them interesting).
The second song would be Michelle Branch’s ‘Goodbye to You’, which was used during the end montage of the Season 6 episode ‘Tabula Rasa’. Michelle Branch immediately caught my attention as soon as she appeared (I’d not known of her beforehand), and not only did the song fit the end montage of the episode perfectly, but I loved it so much that I bought her album that the song was on. I really enjoyed that whole album. Then I later bought her next one once it was released and loved that too.

My favourites are "that kind of love" Alison Krauss, Stupid thing by Nickel, and both of sarah mclachlan's songs: full of grace and Prayer of St. Francis.
