What's that? No. She's still floundering around $800 million world wide? Then she's hasn't beat Ironman 3 OR Captain America: Civil War. Get back to me when she's at a billion via theater ticket sales.

800 million is still pretty damn good dude. BTW, it is now in the top 5 highest grossing super hero films of all time (domestically). www.thewrap.com/wonder-woman-joins-top-5-highest-grossing-superhero-films-time/not bad for an origin film huh? And Captain America needed a ton of help to get over a billion (Civil War was basically an Avenger film ) . And I could have sworn you didn't care about box office results? lmao

Captain America: Civil War was a Captain America film. Anyone with a brain knows that. Cap America 3 was always going to be a billion dollar venture given how the character's popularity has grown since 2012, and just look at the difference between The First Avenger and Winter Soldier. I rest my case. At this point, you're just being petty because you couldn't get me to surrender in our argument about Avatar. The box office results don't matter to me. I'm just putting trolls like DennisReynolds and DC-Fan in their place. Since they want to brag like Wonder Woman beating a couple of Marvel films in the U.S. is a big deal, I brought up the world wide results, which they "conveniently" failed to mention. Swing and miss yet again, boy. Just keep exposing yourself as a hater, though.

I'm putting the likes of DennisReynolds and DC-Fan in their place. Their silence is absolutely deafening. They know they have nothing.

Now it still made that much sure, but just consider that 100-150? mil of that is from people like my wife and you get an idea that the traditional audience only thought it was worth 650-700. And that's fine, it tapped a new audience, which is perfectly valid, not taking anything away from it, but it gives you an idea that without that women's lib sort of vibe to it, it's comparable to Doctor Strange.

Civil War literally had almost all the Avengers in it so that of course helped it at the box office. WW made waaaaaaay more than the 1st Captain America at the box office . Care to compare those films? lol of course not cause it doesn't fit your narrative .

Care to compare those films? lol of course not cause it doesn't fit your narrative . Nope. Wrong again. Most of the film centers on Steve, Bucky, and Tony with a heavy side of Falcon and Widow. That's almost the same lineup of characters from the previous Cap film. The other Avengers are supporting characters and disappear before the third act. It IS a Captain America film and it would have made a billion regardless. Captain America: The First Avenger was up against the last Harry Potter film during Phase 1 when the MCU was still finding its legs and none of these had become front runners yet, except Ironman. That's why it didn't make that much. Plus, at the time, Captain America was considered to be an outdated joke of a character. It was a film that had everything going against it. I have a friend who wasn't even willing to given the film a second look, let alone his ticket money, because he thought Cap was nothing more than a propaganda character that should have been retired ages ago. Now he's a huge fan. Between Cap's first theatrical outing and the first Avengers, he was able to prove to audiences that there is something to his character. Notice his followup film saw a huge increase in profits. Oh, wait, I'm sorry, you were saying something moronic about me needing something to fit my narrative? I don't need anything to fit a narrative when I have the facts because I actually paid attention to all the factors that went into the final gross of that first Cap film. You sure seem anxious to laugh about any perceived shortcomings you think you've found, though. What does that say about you? You're petty. That's what. In contrast, there's been huge demand for a Wonder Woman movie for years. Plus, people have been wanting a good superheroine movie for a long time. Wonder Woman was a film that had everything going for it in contrast to Cap, who had fight and earn his way to the top. I guess I'm the one laughing now. Also, I remember a time when putting trolls in their place was something you got pats on the back for. Now apparently you just get more people giving you shit over it because you've had disagreements with them before. How petty.

Wrong again. I never brag about box office intake. I will mention it when discussing how it impacts a film's chances of a sequel when trolls aren't constantly hounding me, but that's it. I only brought up Ironman 3 and Cap 3's billions to thrown it back in the faces of trolls.

Captain America 3 definitely did not make $1 billion because of Captain America alone. You'd be a fool to think that.
The movie was basically an Avengers 2.5. Infact they could have called it Avengers: Civil War and it would have worked.
Besides having all the other Avengers in it, it also brought Ant-man over into it and then debuted Black Panther and Spider-man and brought them all together as well.

But the story still focused on Cap more than anyone else. Anyways, Weirdraptor's just taking the piss out of everyone who keeps poo-pooing the MCU at every turn and how it's an epic failure for not emulating Nolan or Singer.

No, I am not a fool for thinking Cap3 would have made that much money for Cap alone. If you look at the growth between Cap1 and 2, there's more than enough there for the third to be a billion dollar epic. Small potatoes. Its a Captain America film, and you are a traitor for also siding with trolls like Dennis, Tristan, and DC-Fan by getting on my case. You just made my shitlist permanently.

Not sure Ant-Man brought people to see Captain America: Civil War, seeing how his first film only made $519 million. Like why so many people wanted to Batman vs. Superman, people wanted to see the fight between Iron Man and Captain America.

Admittedly, this was an immature topic to make, but as stated multiple times before, I just a throw something back in the faces of the trolls. So thanks for not getting on my case like everyone else to reply, barring sam and averagejoe.

Yeah, there's a reason I didn't even bother replying to the part about Ant-Man. Seriously, wtf. Honestly, the fact that Civil War won out over BvS is truly impressive considering WB/DC went in with all the big guns. Says a lot about the quality of the two films.

I will say this for good ol' Ant-Man, he stole the show for me in Civil War. Paul Rudd is just an amazing comedian/improviser.

I think we're going to be seeing a huge increase in people turning up to see his sequel. Though it seems odd for a character as bizarre as Ant-Man to become a star alongside the other B-listers and outright obscure characters the MCU has done the same thing with, he's set for it to happen.

I hope so. The first one was pretty damn good. It's ashamed so many people overlooked that film, mostly the butthurt Edgar Wright fans simply because "big bad Marvel wouldn't let Wright make his own movie."
