He is. I think we're going to be seeing a huge increase in people turning up to see his sequel. Though it seems odd for a character as bizarre as Ant-Man to become a star alongside the other B-listers and outright obscure characters the MCU has done the same thing with, he's set for it to happen. I hope so. The first one was pretty damn good. It's ashamed so many people overlooked that film, mostly the butthurt Edgar Wright fans simply because "big bad Marvel wouldn't let Wright make his own movie." Basically, this. I have little-to-no sympathy for Wright, considering they were able to get Kenneth Branagh, a much more talented and esteemed director to work well for them and he delivered his film on time.

Apparently, Jon Favreau having issues with what happened during the production of Ironman 2 MUST mean they push all their directors around.

At least Jon Favreau is happy to play Happy (lol) and to be an executive producer for the Avengers films. Plus he's become one of Disney's go-to directors with The Jungle Book and the upcoming Lion King. And after hearing the news Colin Trevorrow leaving Star Wars 9, Favreau would've been my #1 choice if it weren't for The Lion King.

He has so many issues with the MCU that he's stayed on board and has expressed a willingness to direct something else for them in the future.

Captain America 3 definitely did not make $1 billion because of Captain America alone. You'd be a fool to think that. The movie was basically an Avengers 2.5. Infact they could have called it Avengers: Civil War and it would have worked. Besides having all the other Avengers in it, it also brought Ant-man over into it and then debuted Black Panther and Spider-man and brought them all together as well. Oh, look, another petty, lowly traitor to try busting my balls for doing, as I quote formersamhmd, "Anyways, Weirdraptor's just taking the piss out of everyone who keeps poo-pooing the MCU at every turn and how it's an epic failure for not emulating Nolan or Singer." No, I am not a fool for thinking Cap3 would have made that much money for Cap alone. If you look at the growth between Cap1 and 2, there's more than enough there for the third to be a billion dollar epic. Small potatoes. Its a Captain America film, and you are a traitor for also siding with trolls like Dennis, Tristan, and DC-Fan by getting on my case. You just made my shitlist permanently. Traitor....what? When it comes to this point it should be time to step back and realise that were talking about comic book movies... In any case. No Captain America 3 would never have made $1 billion if it was a strictly Captain America movie. The huge growth between movies explained for several reasons. 1. The sequel came after The Avengers one of the most successful movies ever where Cap had the largest role. People who weren't familiar with how before sure we're after that movie. 2. Winter Soldier was drastically better. 3. It also happened to have other stars like Black Widow and Nick Fury involved too. Civil War made as much money as it did because Iron Man was in it, the rest of the Avengers were in it, Ant-man was in it, Spider-man and Black Panther was debuting in it and it was a good movie. All of that obviously accounts for more than just $154 million worth of its gross meaning without it it would have under $1 billion.

Not sure Ant-Man brought people to see Captain America: Civil War, seeing how his first film only made $519 million. Like why so many people wanted to Batman vs. Superman, people wanted to see the fight between Iron Man and Captain America. He wouldn't have added a huge chunk but he would have added some. All of the other hero characters would have added some amount and when combined it would add up to something significant.

It also made a billion dollars despite being up against a Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman movie. I'd say that speaks more for the film itself than who was in it. Well, maybe I wouldn't be so irritable if people weren't ALWAYS GETTING ON MY CASE ABOUT THIS!

The competition wasn't really an issue, Guardians 2, Wonder Woman and Spider-man all came out within a couple months and made was successful. I don't know why you people keeping taking sides. They're all superhero movies with people in tights and capes fighting weirdos. They're practically the same thing. This is as bizarre as all the PlayStation vs Xbox fan wars. It's damn near the same console with 90% of the same video games.
