I can care less about the Joker stand alone. I think it's time to move on to a different villain. Mr. Freeze has always been my favorite Batman villains and one of my favorite Batman characters in general too. I think Arnold Schwarzenegger did a good caricature of Mr. Freeze, but I hope this universe delivers a proper adaptation of him. That couple pictures fan art but how awesome would it be to see that on the big screen!?! I think there's a lot you can do with the character. II liked to see a movie adaptation of the animated movie Batman & Mr. Freeze: Subzero. That movie gave a reason for why Mr. Freeze does what he does, similar to how MoS gave a reason for why Zod did what he did.

Done proper, he'd be a worthy opponent. I think someone like Hugo Weaving or Mark Strong would be great.

He's actually a misunderstood villain I think. Everyone thinks of him as the Schwarzenegger iteration, but his character is much more than that.
I think they could make it work.

Hell, even Schwarzenegger could have been interesting if handled proper. If he was like The Terminator (1984 version) or similar.

Well, I wouldn't say everybody. A lot of my friends know him from his Arkham Iterations now in 'Arkham City', 'Arkham Knight' and 'Arkham Origins.' The 'Arkham' games are very popular and if you haven't seen them and are a fan of Batman you and the OP should definitely check them out 'cause I think a version of Mr Freeze based on what we saw in them would be awesome. That being said I would like to see the movies base multiple versions of the characters on the 'Arkham' games 'cause I think the 'Arkham' games have had the best comic book villains in movies, TV shows and video games period but that is just me.

I have played the Arkham Quadrilogy and I agree, they're all awesome. I think it's one of the greatest achievements in video game history. The Mr. Freeze in Arkham City is incredible. The chase/duel scene in the GCPD is probably the most tense moment in any game for me. If we got an adaptation of Freeze that is as good as the one in Arkham City, that'd be great. Unfortunately, I don't think many people know about the Arkham Quadrilogy outside of video game players. I could be wrong, though.

I would love to see Mr.Freeze brought back, and to have something done so you could see his tragic backstory, and you would know enough to care about him. This is the guy who broke out of Arkham on his anniversary to get his weapons and make it snow in Gotham because his wife loved the snowy weather- hence why Batman found him by Mrs.Freeze's grave site. This guy is a rich character. There is so much to work with, for him.
Any more casting ideas? I'd say Richard Armitage would make a good Mr.Freeze. Karl Urban would also be a good choice, I think.

Unfortunately, I don't think many people know about the Arkham Quadrilogy outside of video game players. I could be wrong, though. Well, I don't think they are as well known as the movies but I recently read they were not only some of the biggest selling superhero games but some of the biggest selling video games of all time so I think they have a strong following and a lot of people know about their version of Mr Freeze. One of the things that made the Arkham games so great in my opinion were the writers they got and I don't know if you knew but both 'Arkham Asylum' and 'Arkham City' were written by Paul Dini and if he can write villains like that for video games I think they should be using him for the movies. I personally think they should get a number of comic book writers involved in the movies 'cause they are the people that spend years writing about these characters and know the most about them. The 'Arkham' games would be good to base a series of movies on 'cause they would give us a lot of Batman's most popular villains including a lot of the ones we haven't seen on screen before and there were rumours 'The Batman' was going to be based on 'Arkham Asylum' but it doesn't sound like that is happening now which is too bad 'cause it would make for a good movie and I would love to see the Titan used in the movies. It made people into huge monsters and their bones stuck out of their bodies and they looked really scary and gruesome.

Nah, Arnold isn't suited for brainy type of characters unless its for comedic purposes but even then its a hard pill to swallow, i.e. Junior. Even when they were developing I AM LEGEND in the 90's with him as the lead they tried to downplay the scientist aspect.

I wasn't actually aware he'd appeared in GOTHAM- I've never been able to get into the show. But I figure if they are talking about recasting Joker for some solo thing, they will probably get new actors for other villains as well. Still excited to see what bad guys may show up in the new Batman film(s).
