Chips Rafferty, in that kind of hat that they told us in school that all Australians wore, they also said all Austalians had a pet kangaroo. It was so far away they could teach us anything, it wasn't that easy to check up before internet.

BATouttaheck Whatta ya mean, "STOOPID"? I'll have you know that it is the cream of the crop in terms of headgear here on Mars. All the fashionable Martian women own at least fourteen, one for each head. Miss Hepburn obviously appreciated fine Martian fashion and wanted to share her appreciation with you plebeian, non-helmet-wearing Earthlings. ______________________________________________________ Seriously, though, Audrey looks impossibly lovely in that picture you posted, Bat.

My own minor contributions to this vast collection of increasingly ridiculous (in a good way) headgear: and Not that this second hat's unusual, per se, but rather the significance it plays in establishing Mr. Marlowe's character in this scene...

...but Givenchy seemed to have been having a bad day that particular hat! "Audrey, Audrey, I said ' handbag,' not 'hat.' That's a handle, not a chinstrap!" - "Oh, Hubert, what a relief. I wondered why you said, 'Here's your hat, bag.'" Trendsetter that Audrey was, though, Lucy did it first:

Although I can't find a full picture of it Woody Strode and his hat made a great double act at the start of Once Upon A Time In The West.
