Great competition.
A great victory for Taran.
Another superb game from the QM.
I haven't seen "The Elephant Man" since the original showing. I'm going to watch it again - just to keep the QM honest.

A great game including a surprise ending.
Congratulations again to Taran for an heroic performance.
Like the QM said at the beginning, for me it was "The Charge of the Light Brigade".

091/172. Wendy Hiller Hurt. A Man for all seasons Stockwell. Sons and Lovers right link, Linda -- but a title needs adjusting Well, I can tell you that Wendy Hiller was Not his mother in "The Elephnat Man" as I had to,watch the film over and over when I made laserdiscs of it. Her title was Motherhead, which meant she was the head nurse who was in charge of taking care of Merrick.

If only Lydia the Tattooed Librarian would have double-checked her left ankle, this never would have happened.

Oh thank you, Spider. For awhile there I was afraid that I was going to be forced to go the sackcloth and ashes route.

My objection to the timing of the bonus round. I don't have a choice as to when I eat dinner and you hit at dinner time.
It was bad enough that the game started before sunrise here on the west coast.

Thank you Matt for all of this. The game was tough but fun (I was really straining to find some of those answers). Gret job, fellow players for a super competitive gane!

OK, double checked -- Merrick did have a mother. QM is regrouping. And she wasn't played by Wendy Hiller. Two actresses played John Merrick's mother -- Phoebe Nicholls, who is seen being trampled by elephants at the beginning of the film, and Lydia Lisle, whose voice we hear reciting a passage from Tennyson's "Nothing Will Die" at the conclusion.
