Really sad to hear this. I thought Becker and Fagen were probably the best songwriting duo since Lennon/McCartney, and they were probably the most immaculate craftsmen ever to grace pop music. It's almost not fair that they were such perfectionists that they left so little music, but in not sounding like anyone else it sounds remarkably fresh and timeless.

I was never a fan of Steely Dan's music but I give that man points for precision. I've never seen anyone so accurately re-create their studio sound live.
